Hey Guys!
Doing my second build and I have a 1969 that had an incline 6. I rebuilt a 351 Windsor and got A NV 3550 transmission. I have to weld on new motor mounts from what I’ve read and wondering what the best way to go about it is.

Would you attach the transmission to the motor and hook it all up at once then hold the motor up to weld the motor mounts onto the frame? I feel like if I need to hook up the the motor and transmission together at the same time so I can place the motor mounts and the transmission mounts in the correct spot.

Thoughts? Or has anyone done this?

I welded new towers to my frame and then set the engine in there, then installed the transmission. No issues for me.

The engine towers are side specific. The engine is slightly offset to the passenger side.

There is so much wiggle room the way they make the towers slotted, it's still very adjustable if you follow the chart.
