If you're running a 351 with long tube headers w/o a body lift the passenger side floorboard will get extremely warm .

Not quite sure anybody runs without a 1" body lift, it just makes it so much easier to work on the bronco in many different ways.

Throw a 1 or 2" body lift and call it good.

As someone said, it will help with heat of the exhaust and the 351w anyway.

Installed a 1” body lift to finally get it under the hood, now to lower the radiator because the lower radiator hose connection to the radiator is hitting a pulley. I don’t like the way body lifts look in general, but they are not that bad on these Broncos. The only part that I am unhappy with is the gap above the rear bumper but as pointed out earlier, the passenger side floorboard should be a lot cooler.

Duff's make a body gap filler panel.

I did this back in about '98 when I built rock slides and a body lift. No gap..

Thinking about not dropping the radiator now. I was having some cooling issues at idle before i started this and may can address that now. I have a Hi-efficient radiator and shroud from James Duff with a 15" metal fan, 195* thermostat and stock water pump. With the radiator lifted up, the fan is almost exactly centered on the radiator which will allow me to put a slightly larger fan on it. This being said, I will need to cut and re-weld the lower nipple from the radiator with at least a 30* angle so that the hose will clear the pulley.

Do it!! ;)

Larger dia makes a HUGE difference for pulling air... so worth it.

That's my vote ;)
