OK, so I picked up a 89 mustang harness and A9P computer. Paid $200 for it, hope I did get ripped off, but I needed both. Bronco_69 said he would clean it up for me and get it right. One step closer to EFI.

A step in the right direction - price is dependent on availability. I'm sure you are happy enough just to have one :)

$200 is a little on the high side - but I wouldn't say you got ripped off. I just bought a complete 89 Mustang set-up - complete harness, A9P, upper, lower, all sensors (except O2), actuators, basically everything except the dizzy and hp fuel pump - for $150. Got it installed on my 410 (M-block) engine with 24 lb injectors and it is working very well without a tune. I do have a Quarterhorse and will be tuning it but I have been surprised just how well it runs with no tune yet. Seems to have lots of power but I was not going for the hp you are - just looking to open the M-engine up a bit because they are pretty pathetic stock! Good luck with it.

Ok, so this is what I have-
1- 351 GT40 Lower intake
2- 93 Cobra upper intake
3- Wiring harness
4- A9P Computer

There are still some things I know I will need.
-The upper intake has the throttle body. I think it is stock. I look all over the internet for the size. There were 10 different answers. I think it is 65mm Throttle body and 70mm MAF for a 93 cobra? Does anyone know for sure? If so, is this big enough? Do I need a new throttle body and MAF?
-I also need heads. I think I am going with AFR or Trick Flow. At least 185s or larger. This will be the last thing I get. If anyne has suggestions, please speak up.
-I have a fuel pump on the bronco already, just have to see if it will work for the setup.
-Should I get a Quaterhorse chip? I only want to do this once.

Can anyone think of anything I am missing? Thanks in advance
David

You are going to want at least a 70MM TB and a possibly an 80MM MAF - you are moving a bit of air with a 408. As I've said before, look at Pro-M for your MAF, you can find them used and calibrated to whatever injectors you have.

As for the AFR vs TF - seriously, whatever you get the better deal on is the answer. I'm partial to the Trick Flows and their twisted wedge design, good rockers and dual springs.

I see lots of folks doing their own tuning with a Quarter Horse or a Tweecer but what is wrong with just getting a dyno tune done by a professional? These are Mustang computers, there is nothing new about them and a professional dyno tune shouldn't cost more than $300 - and you are done in an afternoon, no constant tweaking...

Just found a place, 20 miles from me, that will dyno tune starting at $125.
I think this is a good price. I talked to the owner, seems cool.

That is a nice price - these pushrod motor are so much easier to tune compared to what is available now.

I will call him back ask more questions. When I talked to him, he seemed like a good ol boy. He said the only reason he got a dyno machine is because he was tired of everyone around here being a$$holes. The other guys who own machines were chargeing to much. " We do this to our cars and trucks for fun" he said " those guys take the fun out of it". I am ready to get my truck there.

Does anyone have an o2 harness I can get from them? If not, what harness can I use? My main harness is from an 89 mustang. Do I have to find that one?
