Where do we stand on this?

Just waiting until the close of the mass buy. I tried getting bauman to allow those that were ready now to purchase their controllers, but they said they needed all the orders in at once to consider it a mass buy. I originally put out a close date at the end of November to make surewe got the most purchases to get the full discount, i was not exexpecting this many buyers so fast, but at least we got the full discount.

Sorry, I haven't updated the list in a while, but there are well over 20 I think I counted 25 so we as long as most of the people follow through we are at the full discount, just waiting on the final date then I will contact bauman and post instructions for making orders.

Good question. I don't have the trans yet, but wanted in for the discount. I was planning on talking with Baumann when I called to place my order.

I've been looking for a decent 4wd tranny for a few weeks.. Hoping I'll get one by the deadline.. If not though I'd just need the controller for the buy.

Seems like, for those that don't have their tranny/year yet, there might be a few options.

I don't recall what the differences are between the years but if someone has that info (specific to a harness), please post info or link.

I didnt ask Bauman that question when i set everything up so im not sure. As for transmission variations, Bauman only lists 3 different harness options pre 98, 98-2000, and 2001 newer. From what i have read in the forums the best ones are 98 and newer, and 2001 was the last year of the 5.0 explorer. Dont know if this helps, my tranny fell through so I was just going to order the harness for the 98-2000 because they have the better parts and since the 2001 is the only model year that works for us in that model harness.

Guys, I am sorry, but I must back out. The transmission in my F150 just went out to the tune of $3100. With the trans on my pickup going out, the family vacation and Christmas nearly here I can't swing it all. If it makes y'all feel any better, I had to back out on getting my wife that AR she has been wanting. I hope there are enough folks still in to get the max discount.

I'd be in if I can use the full discount on the controller ONLY... I'm not sure if I'm going sbf or mod motor yet... That will affect what year trans I end up with.

I am definately not an expert, but I believe the 98's and above have some upgraded internals, if I remember correctly it is mostly either upgraded clutch packs, or higher numbers of clutches per clutch pack. You can search this forum and get most of the information.
