4x4x2 Pitman seal replacement help

Hey y'all,
Trying to fix a leaking output seal on my 4x4x2 box. I've removed the pitman arm and lower snap ring, but there's a washer or something rusted in the way. I'm not 100% sure if this washer is one of the seals in the kit (one is rubber with a flat metal side of sorts), so I don't want to just drill and pull it.

Anybody got a diagram or better yet, instructions for how to replace these seals? Most online guides are for generic boxes and not this one specifically.

TIA,
Parker

With the pitman arm and lower snap ring removed, put a bucket under the box, start the engine, and turn the wheel back and forth. The pressure from the pump should blow the seal out of the bottom of the box since the snap ring isn't holding it in place anymore. This is a very common trick for removing the seal.

However, in your specific situation, the "rusted" washer may not cooperate. Worth a shot though. Not going to hurt anything if the pressure doesn't blow it out.

Put the pitman arm nut back on the shaft loosely and it will keep the bearings, seal and washers from ending up in your drain pan when the fluid blows them out.
