Carb or EFI?
AOD does not have a kick down cable. It has a TV cable (or rod). Set this up wrong and the transmission is toast before you get around the block.

So my aod uses a TV cable? What is that and what one should I look at? What's the difference between a kick down cable and a TV cable?

Kick down is a WOT (Wide Open Throttle) trigger.
TV (Throttle Valve) tells the transmission the position of the throttle to control shift points at all throttle settings, not just if you are at full throttle or not.
