It wasn't as hard as I thought to install the needle bearings. I placed the transfer case on a cinder block with the yoke resting in the hole, then I hoisted up the tranny with my cherry picker and lowered it in.
Pretty stoked, tranny and engine are in, I just need to tidy up a few small details, like gas pedal brackets, mufflers and transfer case inspection cover.
