If you subscribe to Motortrend on Demand, there's a new episode of Dirt Every Day where they resurrect a '66 Bronco. If you're not a subscriber, I think they post these to YouTube 30 days later.

I've been waiting on this episode since filming back in November. They don't post all episodes to YouTube but Motortrend is only $5/month. What did you think? He said he is going to do engine/trans/upholstery next on the Bronco. Not sure why they went with 4:11 gears on it unless he already planned an engine swap for another episode because he needed much deeper gearing.

I think it was a good introductory episode for Dave's Bronco. Get it running, take it on a trail and find out what else needs to be repaired/upgraded. They skip over a lot of the nitty-gritty details, but that's to be expected with almost any show. Didn't know you could put 35 spline axles in a (presumably) small-bearing housing.
I really enjoy watching the DED Extras (and Roadkill Extras) where the hosts often get to go into more details about build plans, why certain choices are made and some more in-depth how-to stuff.

I am glad someone posted about their Demand service, would really like to hear what people think about it.

Kind of pissed at Motortrend, they bought up the Velocity channel and all they show all day long is reruns. Good at the beginning to catch up on some missed episodes, but now they doll out a few new episodes of a few shows while advertising that you need to sign up for Demand to get more content.

And then there are the Magazines that have been terminated, but no refund for your subscription... Like Carcraft. I have been taking Hotrod magazine for years and as of late it just seems to get thinner and thinner.

Yeah, I know, sign of the times, the way things are going and all. Just a little Monday morning Grumble here in the Hot zone of CA.

I subscribed to Peterson's 4WOR but they rolled my subscription over to FourWheeler instead without interruption.

It's a whole lot of content for the money. This year they've changed the way they release their original shows. They used to do a new episode of each show once/month. Now they roll out a season of a given show on a weekly basis. Ex: 6 weeks of Engine Masters, then 6 weeks of Dirt Every Day, etc.
My favorites are Dirt Every Day, Roadkill, Roadkill Garage, Engine Masters, $3K Hooptie Challenge, Faster with Finnegan, Hot Rod Garage and Head 2 Head. They also have ALL the Top Gear UK episodes, Ultimate Adventure, Hot Rod Power Tour, etc.
There's also a bunch of "reality" shows like Fast N Loud and Texas Metal that I don't really care for.

Funny, I was lamenting lack of new Dirt Every Day content, other than those quick few minute snippets.

I typically watch Engine Masters, Roadkill Garage and Dirt Every Day. Although Dirt Every Day content has dwindled a bit the last few months.

It would be nice if they had more general vehicle reviews and commentary. Something more on the order of Motorweek.

Same. And I didn't know CarCraft was axed. It's been around forever right? Off topic so I digress. The info I gave earlier about the engine/trans swap was directly from Dave on his social media when I asked him what the plans were next.

I think the closest they have to that is Head 2 Head.

I've been watching a lot of TFLTruck on YouTube lately. They have some interesting comparisons on things like fuel economy, towing and off road capabilities.

Other way around. The magazines were failing bad. Discovery channel (parent of Velocity) came and took the Motertrend to save them. Add in this was the same time YouTube de-monetized most of the videos. MotorTrend was in the process of going to online video, was staying alive via YouTube. Discovery really did save them. People cryed when they left YouTube. If you want to see the product, you are going to pay. For $1 a month you can get Motortrend on demand with ads. Double that and the ads go away. It's cheaper than cable, and without ads. Times are changing, adapt or fail.

That happened when Auto week shut down and they gave me Road and Track to finish my subscription. Ok something different, but then the emails started to come about renewing my subscription and other special opportunities. I let it run out and unsubscribed from their emails...

I get it. I can't get my 17 y/o son to read the paper about Covid19, but he will watch video's all day long. Just an older guy who doesn't want to stare at his phone all day long, and I can read a magazine anywhere.

Doug can tell you what a cheapskate I am, but the day after Engine Masters went dark on YouTube I ponied up my 5 bucks for MT.
I typically lament the once-a-month or less frequency of that show, but I've been in hog heaven this month with three or four new episodes coming out withing just a week or two!

And will someone please tell Ant Antstead that his Mustang Sally is wired wrong?
Not sure how you get ahold of celebrities and just watched a little of his newest show (more like a blog) and his alternator is giving him fits because it's wired to come on in the ACC position.

Oh well, guess he should hang out here more with all the cool kids%) and then he'd know that kind of stuff.;D

I sent Dave a few questions about that, if he reply’s I’ll let you know.
