The door gaps look great, better than Ford ever did. Ford liked the doors closer to the front fender and larger gap in the rear and a wide gap below the door. Make sure you get the softest door seals you can find. With tight door jambs you may have issues, allot of people have had issues. My only concern is moving the pivot point of the hinge a 1/4" or more back and how it may or may not cause issues in the striker. The door latch is going through the striker at a slightly different angle than intended. The original hinge pin is almost in line with the edge of the fender and you have moved it significantly rearward. I doubt you will have issues but you don't want to find out after its all painted.

One thing you may want to watch for is Ford could have used out of spec bodies for the roadster knowing that tops and doors are not going to be attached. They also didn't live their life with the support and structure that a metal top and solid doors give so the sheet metal has allot more room to move on its own.

Thanks! Sounds Like you've been into these EB's for a long time!! Whats your thoughts on what brand of door seals would be the softest? Curious to see what happens when I get the latches! And yeah I test fit EVERYTHING before paint! Modifying things after paint is never a good thing!!!!
Thanks so much for all of your knowledge!!!!

If I remember correctly metro has the soft door gaskets. I found mine on amazon. They cost more, but I could not get the gaskets that are sold by the bronco experts to work.

I bought my first Bronco 34 years ago and still have it. Bronco's are a disease and a plague to the wallet. But are a hell of allot more loyal than people.
Metro are the seals I would buy if I need them. I still have a set of New old stock I bought 25 years ago from Ford when they stopped producing them. Back then there was almost no aftermarket stuff for these trucks. Now these days I wish I would have invested 10 grand in parts and horded them. Would have been better than my 401K.

Thats amazing that you still have the same bronco for all these years, and even more so that you've been hanging on to those NOS seals. And yeah, 25 years ago 10 grand of NOS parts would have been a gold mine today!
Thanks for everything, and I'll speak to the owner about the Metro seals that Y'all speak of!
