66 Fuel system Do Over-I need help

Guys,
Got a 66, 170 engine-all original, except for being rebuilt/replaced with another straight 6. I want to redo the fuel system starting with the tank. Based on my experience, this will snow ball into more money than I have, but this is what has to be done. Original tank, PO put filters to contain the tank issues, which has now killed the fuel pump (already on my to do list) requiring a carb rebuild(have the kit)-1 barrel original.
Current question: who has the best deal on a replacement gas tank?
I plan to replace the lines, filters, fuel pump (can it be rebuilt?)
Then rebuild the carb. I want to eliminate all fuel issues.
Second question: the fuel guage hasnt worked in decades (this bronco has been in our family since Feb 23, 1966 when it was bought new by my uncle).
So what do I need to do a fuel system Do Over?
How much is this going to cost to do it correctly? Fuel pick ups/in tank items, etc. i greatfully appreciate the bronco guru's advice, input and guidance.
Thanks in advance for your help. I stay in over my head and over budget with this project, but Im learning this truck from the outside in.

Fuel pump can be rebuilt:

Saving money on the new tank is going to come down to shipping cost which would mean Duff's would probably be your best bet.

Personally I'd deal with the pump, carb, and tank, but just flush the lines well with sea foam and compressed air. I wouldn't go to the extent of replacing the lines.

Odds are the gauge not working is the sending unit inside the tank. Get a new one when you order the new tank.

I just did this on my 66 this weekend...I bought it with no tank and had my seventeen year old son do most the work to try to teach him something. Here is a list of parts and cost.

used tank w mounting hardware 1970 or older $60
plastic fuel line (Jeff Bronco Graveyard) $18
2' 3/8 and 5/16 fuel line with clamps (NAPA) $11
autolite rebuild kit Ebay $28
Napa fuel filter at carb $ Cant remember
Napa fuel filter at tank part #3301 $ 26
fuel pump ( looped vacuum lines...works fine) $0
fuel cap and new hoses for filler tube (wild horses) around $30
sending unit ( took apart and cleaned and rebent contact...works)$0
For now runs great and no leaks...may need a new fuel pump and sending unit since using old ones. I used the Napa filter at the tank since the sending unit connection was 3/8 and the plastic line is 5/16. The filter has a 3/8 inlet and 5/16 outlet.

I never like to total up what I spend but you can.

One thing you may consider is to refurbish your existing tank. A local radiator shop near me hot tanks the gas tanks then coats them and it isn't too expensive. May be another option!
