Thought I would just share a few photos of my resto job, started in April and is about three weeks from the finish if all goes well. Started with a 66 that seemed ok until it was stripped of the skin, there were many issues and pretty much replaced all but the hood, dash, doors, window frame, floor pedestal and kick panels. Changed over to a 302 rebuilt, c-4, Vintage Air, heck it's not even the same truck anymore almost everything is new even down to every stainless bolt and screw. I wanted to build a show truck with lot's of chrome and no fly's because I never see any at the shows I frequent.

looks good. funny how these things can turn into a can of worms. it's really tough to find one very solid these days. they are few and far. from the looks of it you went about things properly to ensure the truck will be around for a long time.enjoy!
job well done

66 resto

Thanks for the welcome and the comments guys, I've been around but have been checking out all the sites and find this one to be the most to my liking. Talking about finding decent EB's to work on I have decided that unless I find one from an old geezer that kept it in his garage all it's life, the midwest and east are not hospitable to old sheet metal. I will be looking to the south and west for my next one, it may cost me more to ship but heck sheet metal and labor aren't cheap. I don't want anyone to think that I did the work on this project because I didn't, although I did supervise and
researched/found/bought every piece that went into it and was an active participant in the restoration. I'm not talented enough or anal enough to do this quality of a job but I know a man who is and we did this project together, sort of. Anyway thanks again and I'll keep the photos coming as the progress goes.

BroncoBen- I sent some photos directly to you
chromeyellow- it was between yellow and orange, I'm originally a California guy and I want to at least look like I'm heading to the beach if I have to live in the midwest, I love the color too

That's cool

Ben, no problem guess they didn't know i just sent you some of the same pics I had already posted but were not enlargable. I don't really have alot of new things to show yet maybe in a few days, but what do you guys think about what I did to my door panels. I'm really anxious to get back in the driver seat but I don't know what it will be like cause when I drove it last it had a 6 cyl, manual steering and 3 speed on the column. I might not know how to act and do something stupid. The last time I drove it back in April it overheated on me and the rear end went out cost me 100.00 to have it towed home, I was really po'd.

Just looked at yours

Just looked at yours man seems you had major rust on that truck don't you just hate rust. Man everytime I go to look at a Bronco back here and I talk to the guy on the phone they always say "Yeah, it's got some but not bad" When I get there it's always a major cancer victim. People from the midwest and east view rust as a natural thing, people from the west freak out if there is surface rust on the floor. Guess you can tell by this statement I'm from the west living in the midwest.
