Wanted to remove the passenger vent for paint & most the bolt retaining clips broke during removal. The three bolts holding the fender on inside the passenger door had to have extensions welded on so I could remove them. Phillips head bolts...really?! That's the original color on the inner fender, pretty cool.

Almost complete patching holes. Next steps will be prepping engine area of frame for paint, then prep engine bay for a few layers of primer.

You can definitely call this one a patchwork and absolutely meaning it as a good thing!

Just curious if you plan to break in that new mill with the headers installed or your old manifolds?

A little bit of a pain, but I know it it will be worth it in the end.

lotta accomplished bubba.. keep it up

Thank you. The plan is to have the motor in at least sitting on the frame within a couple weeks.

Nope, I'll likely just use manifolds to protect the headers.

First two coats of primer are on, I am going to use body filler on the patch areas & seam sealer around the panels before another two coats of primer. The paint is a single stage Bright Racing Aqua Acrylic Urethane.

Took a piece of the fender to an auto paint supply place locally so they could use their spectrophotometer tool. The mixed match was close-ish…they are working at it more to find the match.

Well..shes in boys! I almost shed a tear, this feeling felt similar to seeing my son born. Solo job, it was about 6 beers to gauge the time & I started sipping the Colorado Coolade after things started to get tight!

With that said, I want to thank UNICEF, FJB, & my lovely wife!
