I recently had the machine work done on my original 302, bored out and heads done., etc. I put it back together and the machine shop gave me a cam for a 351, nothing crazy as i wanted to keep it as original as possible and i kept the original two barrel manifold and carb. It has the single exhaust as well. Beginning to think i may be hurting myself in doing so. I really didnt want to go with a new 4 barrel intake and carb but i am beginning to think i should and bump it up to a dual exhaust. Again the only reason i didn't in the first place as i wanted to do a stock rebuild.
Bad idea? just looking for some opinions from out there.
Thanks Bronco friends.

I have an unknown orgin 302 installed by previous owner. First thing I did was swap 2 barrel for a 4 barrel based off a mechanic’s suggestion. Did not notice a huge difference should have gone with larger 500cfm 2 barrel. I recently swapped dual exhaust for duffs 2 into 1 and shorty headers. Getting rid of the long tubes and duals was one of the best things ever. More room underneath and way less heat near fuel lines. According to my seat of the pants dyno it has more lower end torque. And it seems to run smoother and it
Sounds fantastic.

Thanks both Bobs 2 and Bruch Hog, I will look into the 500cfm carb and now have put the dual exhaust to bed, Will take a look at Duff's.
