Suspension at full compressed....Looks like I'll be opening up the wheelwells. looks like the shocks will protrude ~2" through the hood, with the hoops as tight to that as possible (probably another 2" to the top.)

Clearance at both sides of the frame @ axle, clearance at steering (or lack of...all being redone). a Pic of the motor, the new radius arms, some of the new shop, etc.

Kids asleep, so no noisy work in the garage right now....

That's the only thing I've jobbed out. Too hard to get them perfectly symmetric. I want to say the company was called Fabritech. They're custom, with mounts already set up for my coil-overs and JMX16 rod ends so I don't have to worry about breaking them. It took over 6 months to get them, but they were worth the wait.

No more old front suspension. Tomorrow I cut out what's left of the coil towers and the radius arm brackets. Also a pic of the new radius arm with the coilover attached.

My wife snagged the good camera, so these were taken with my video camera.

Correct. The guy will do custom work (very nice work), but make sure you've got time to wait.

custom takes time. sometimes lots of time. "if it was easy everyone would be doing it...."

looking good. you might make it just in time to play late this summer, you think?

I'm targetting 4th of July next year. I want to finish it right and I still have a fair amount of crap to buy. I've got a little one on the way (#2) in November, so I'm sure that will slow things down a bit.

I want to knock out the fabrication as early in the summer as possible so that I can get the paint going fall/winter and do final assembly in the spring.

Although that was my plan last year as well%)

More progress, should have the rear radius arm mounts done by the end of the week...

A big thanks to Sean and Mark for helping me out these last couple of weeks.

i want to come play...

Brownstown, MI is a hell of a haul from NC. But you're certainly more than welcome to come and play.

Ran out of welding gas tonight, so I have to get some tomorrow. (2) more tubes to make before I can fab up the brackets for the rod ends and put in the support tubing.....I love how these things evolve over time.

Some suspension pics. Got the vertical tube in that the front suspension tabs will be welded to (tube will be sandwiched between the tabs) 1/4" steel on the tabs with sleeved mounts for the 1" heims.

i don't think it's a limited product. they've been around a few years and i saw a number of sets they had with them at the 40th. saw at least half dozen trucks with them running around.
i think they're pretty sporty. nice modern prerunner look. falls right in place in your application

Pics of the driver's side front suspension brackets all tacked in. Pass side goes in tonight.

Once I get the main fab done and can pull the body, I'm going to box in these mounts. There will also be a strut running from the bottom of the vertical tube that the brackets are welded to, up to the bottom of the frame to give the mount fore/aft stability.

I have a buyer for my leaf springs, so I need to hurry up and get the front done so that I don't have to worry about knocking the truck out of alignment (all plum-bobbed & marked square on the floor of the garage)

Look Ma...no jackstands....

Got the rear mounts for the radius arms in. Working on the coil-over mounts and hoops this weekend

I think I'm going to add the hoop to the front bumper tomorrow.
