Your truck is looking great, I can't wait to see it done.

How far up do you think you will need to cut the old quarters so you do not see them easily under the WCB quarters?

50% done on the driver's side. Made the first dzus bracket for the bodysides. Now that I know how to make them the others should go quickly (once I get some more time to work on it.)

They are 2-piece - an inner mount and an outer reinforcement ring. The inner mount goes in from the backside of the body and goes through to the front. The reinforcement ring goes on the a-surface of the original body to give a good solid mount for the pop-rivets.

Driver side bodyside mounted

Finished up mounting the driver side bodyside. I'm going to work on the door insert next weekend, then I'll move on to the pass side.

Thanks Ed....It's been a rough summer, I've spent the last 3 months (almost non-stop) in Chicago supporting the new Taurus launch. Between work and the family I've had 2 days this year to work on it. (At that rate I'm hoping to finish before I'm 40.....I started this thing when I was 29, ugh.)

Been there...ugh x 2
I am turning 46, Sometimes I think it sucks to be responsible. Family came first ;)

I've owned my Bronco before my first child was born... She is a Junior @ State now... During this time I used it a bit. Years ago I put a Mallotte body on it, took it up to to Silver Lake. While there I seen a bunch of Fiberglass jeeps. I thought the quality of the bodies were much better, I was disappointed with mine. I took it off and bought a Kentrol. Unfortunately, things did not go as fast the second time around.

It has been in the garage for a long time... I picked up another 74 (Steel) before I do anything with it I told myself I need to start driving this.

So... Here I am getting this finished, and it's not much compared to what you are doing. Great job!

That little one of yours won't be so little soon ;)

I don't dare look at the new models I know they improved much more.
If I start again, I won't even be able to climb into a stock height bronco before it is finished. LOL

Keep up the fantastic work, You and your buddy will have a ton of fun on the dunes. I'll be able to drive mine up to a nice spot to capture some nice air shots of you guys with my camera. (photography another hobby of mine)

Looks like you will be close next year...

It's been so long I've got 2 kids now.....haha.

I know what you're talking about with the Malotte bodies. Mine's a POS, I guess that's partly why I'm covering the whole thing up.

I've toyed with the idea of picking up another Bronco so I can drive it, but my wife would kill me.

I'll make sure to let you know when I'm headed out to the dunes (but don't hold your breath.)

They'd be fake, so of course they'd be nice (think Japanese Anime) Go big or go home baby.

Can a good set of D-cups be done in Japanese anime?
Just keep going with the flow. You'll get it done. Heck, I need a second paint job and I never finished the first one!

As soon as the mechanicals are done, go to the dunes and thrash it. Mine is years from being "near " done, but I'm racing now. Sure I get my balls busted every week end for the three tone paint job, but it is fun running it and gives me more time to make changes before paint is sprayed. I don't feel rushed, and the end product will be better, at least that's what I'm telling myself;D
