Has anyone here converted to a T4MO from an A3M or A9L? It would seem to me to require simply relocating some pins in the pcm connector.... What say you?

While I haven't converted one I am running a T4MO I took a 96 van speed density harness and turned it into a SN95 mass air harness

Off the top of my head, the SN95 does not use a MAP or BAP sensor which is no big deal. The main difference in the 93 and the SN95 is the ignition wiring. It went from distributor mounted TFI to remote and the wireing is different. That's why the Painless EFI wiring harness says you have to change the distributor to use on a SN95 The SN95 ECU's have built in electric fan controls which I took advantage of.

Unless you are bracket racing why would you want a slower, less compensating computer?

You can do it. Here's how. Take the fox pin and move it to the corresponding sn95 socket. You don't need to worry about TFI differences.

fox sn95
12 39
13 35
14 15
15 12
19 8
29 44
31 11
32 34
38 31
42 13
44 add to 46
49 add to 46
52 14

We're not bracket racing. We're rock crawling. And driving on the highway. And seriously, I've been wanting to know just how much difference there is in the processing speeds of these computers. They both operated the efi system they were intended for when they rolled off the assembly line... Which means there's not MUCH difference. And on that note, I read somewhere a long time back that mega squirt is, like, 200 times faster than an a9l or comparable.

We're trying to find something affordable to get dads bronco back on the road. After he got it upside down at OCBR last year, it caught an attitude. And the more he worked on it, the worse it got. This morning he told me it wouldn't fire up last night. The computer seems fried...again. He had it running with the IAB unplugged, but when you plug it in, it runs like crap. Now it won't run... This is a computer that he got from ecu exchange guy off eBay out of Florida. We're waiting on a response to our email to him this morning to see if he still covers his warranties.

And did I mention that I started my explorer swap in December, and thanks to life I'm not done yet, even though I have everything to do it? We're " (this) close to buying some megasquirt kits and moving on with life in the learning curve.

Viper, 44 and 49 are grounded in the 93 computer aren't they? I know they are signal returns, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around what the computer does with them.

44 and 49 are the O2 sensor signal grounds. The sn95 harness ties them to the signal return while the fox harness didn't.

Have you opened up the old computer and checked for burned traces and replaced the caps yet?

Its a sealed rebuilt that "should" still be under warranty or we would've opened it up. The one he sent in to be repaired, we had already replaced the caps and trace but it still didn't run right, and eventually quit all together.

We are waiting to here back from ecuexchange llc about the warranty. I would assume if we don't here back from them, the warranty is no good....

Good news... I just grabbed dad's phone and checked his email. They responded last night saying send it in...
