I thought I would go ahead and start a build thread even though it is going to be very slow...I may forget that I made this thread %).

Alittle more that one year ago, I flopped my '77 on its side (asphalt). I hit black ice, ran off the road...hit something (?:?) and was pushed back toward the road and hit the 8" lip (of the road) parallel....and there she went. After I got it home, the whole body was tweaked and beat up, but everything else was intact and would live on. I began looking for another '77 that was basically a shell, which I found after about 8 months.

The plan is to fix the few things wrong with the body of the new '77 (blue) and swap it onto the '77 (green) chassis that I already had. Also, plan on cleaning up the frame that I have and making it look nice before the body swap. Main goal is just to get it back running and driving again. I daily drove the green bronco for 5 years before I wrecked it. Would like to be daily driving a bronco again, but its going to take some time.

Here are a few starter pics:

I'll post up some more pics of the blue tub. It neads a drivers floor pan, and am going to replace the passenger pan as well. It doesn't really need to, but I want it to look better than it does.

I sold the old half-cab to a guy local. Not sure what has happened to it. The top separated from the sides, so it is basically just sitting in place in those pictures.

Man that accident bites the big one. From the pics, your green halfcab was sweet!!

Thanks! I hope to get it back to looking that good! However, This time around there wont be any expandable foam in the rockers, door posts, floor pans, everywhere....that the PO left me with. After the wreck and tearing it down, there was foam literally EVERYWHERE %)

I see your new cab has drip rail chrome, any idea where I could find some of that?

I was wondering if anyone would notice that ;D. This is the only one that I have seen. I bought it from a local EB'r and I believe said he has only seen one other. Im not sure how common it is or where you could find some.

I think 68 is the only year I have seen the drip chrome on half cabs.
Awesome to see you getting a chance to bring it back to life. Looking forward to seeing the continued progress.

**Have also POR'd the 9 inch and getting ready to pull the engine to POR the remaining portion of the frame that I could not get to with the engine in.
