Finished painting the engine and installing the ZF. And what you are looking at is a prototype for a wooden cross member, coming soon to your local bronco vendor %).

Tragic start to this thread!

I want to see what those wheels and tires look like when mounted up.

I am kind of a stock-look purist, but prefer no hubcap, plain old painted steelies.

Still thinking about the LUBR idea. I am not a very quick decision maker ;D, and always changing my mind.

However...302, ZF, 3.5 SL, 1" BL, 33x10.50 KM2's (ARB's front and rear) with uncut fenders, a half-cab top, and bailie bilt bumpers (with a Warn 8274) might look pretty stylin'.

I would have thought you would have listed a Baillie Built 1/2 cab cage

I'll post some pictures as soon as I have them mounted.

Thanks. Those just really look classic. Kinda like the stockton bead locks with half moon hubcaps from another thread. Do you need spacers to clear the hubs from the hubcaps in the front? What backspace? Thanks again.

Sorry, didn't see your post until now. Spacers wont be needed for the hubcaps (I don't think). The backspacing is 3.75.

Well....progress is progess...almost finished with the Dana-20. Ended up tearing it all apart and checking everything and re-sealing it. Also ended up stripping it down to bare metal (again) and re-painting it. Next step is to put the ZF adapter on and mate it to the ZF!!! ;D

Went to the junkyard today in search for the explorer serpentine setup, for the first time, and got lucky. I found a complete setup from a '97 with the steel fan vs. the plastic...which is what I wanted. I was rained out, but was able to get everything off except the balancer and timing cover. I will be going back tomorrow to finish it off.

Broncology don't feel bad about the time it is taking you to get the truck done. I have mine tore apart right now. I thought I would have had it back together by now but.... it hasnt happened as planned.

I'm installing 23 gal BCB tank, power steering, hydroboost, explorer serpt belt set up, EFI, rewiring the entire truck, and replacing the sheet metal around the battery area. Along the way I have let my buddies talk me into repainting the engine compartment (which I'm glad I took the time to do)! I have also took small pieces and cleaned and painted them along the way.

It seemed like things just kept getting added to the list as I went. Here lately I haven't had the time to work on it. Hopefully I will get the needed time to get this thing back going here in the next few weeks.

Power steering box cleaned up and bolted back to frame. Also, Explorer timing cover, water pump, and balancer are bolted up. Need to take the explorer brackets and a few other things to have sandblasted and powder coated. Planning on replacing the stock explorer steering pump with a new one, as well as, new serpentine pulley's (mainly for new bearings).

**Anyone have a Stone Crusher steering box brace? Thinking about picking one up. Had Bronco graveyards steering box brace on order for a couple weeks, but have no ETA.

Well, with the growing frustrations of having the "body shop" pick up (was suppose to leave in July) my bronco and actually do something with it, I gave up on them. I decided to have alittle fun and swap the body myself, while clearing up some much needed space in the garage %). Now that it is on (went much easier than it should have), I am kicking around the idea of doing the body work myself, which is almost insane to even consider %). Anyhow, here are some pictures of my redneck engineering skills. Yes.....those are 2x4's and Yes.....it worked flawlessly.

....I'm starting to think my tires are alittle too BIG....

you go chuck, I would try the bodywork if I were you. Just take your time and don't try and hurry it.

Chuck you got this far, I'd say you should give body work a shot. I bet you'll do fine. Take your time, and use high quality materials (not Bondo, or rattle can primer) and you should be fine. I'd suggest going to an autobody paint store and talking to them about what you want and what your budget is. They'll make sure all of your products will be compatable.
