AAW wiring harness with delay wipers issue

Was wondering if the delay wiper switch that comes with delay set that all the parts house sell is direct plug and play?

I'm asking because everything works fine except I can not get the washer function to work. The original switch works along with the washer functions but no luck with the delay set up.

It's the kit that has a black box included. Do I need to move wires around or does it sound like the switch or the box might be bad?

Thanks for the help.

1/2 way to everywhere
I'm experiencing the exact same thing! Unplug delay switch and box then plug in stock wiper switch and the washer works. AAW harness and Tom's Wiper Switch Delay Conversion Kit.

I haven't looked at the new repops yet but on the originals, you have to move one wire for the washer to work. On the plug of the wiper switch assembly that plugs into the harness, is there one slot that is empty? If so, is there a black/white stripe wire adjacent to that slot? If so, move that wire over to the empty slot and they should work.

Here's a couple pictures of the 2 sockets that go together. It shows the green wire on the harness goes to the pump and it works with 12 volts direct to it. Matches with the yellow wire when plugged together.

What does the back side of the black plug noted in red below look like?

Thank you for your help. Here some bad pictures. I am looking the back of this delay switch and noticed the yellow wire goes to a dead hole on the back of the switch.

Installation guide PDF. Swapped 3 and 4 re-grounded the switch and it works perfect. Good Grief. Would it kill the other parts houses for a heads up.

Thank you Todd and thank you Wildhorses. Saved me a couple hairs.

I'll have to dig into mine. Thank you for all of this information.
I swapped on the red plug instead of the harness in case a guy needs to throw the OEM 2 speed switch back in. Yellow goes where the white is and the white gets taped up.
