does the duct hoes on the in side going to show like that all the time? Or do they hide back up under the dash?
My dash is tight for space under there. The duct hoses are below as you see them.
I've thought about building a custom dash that is raised towards the cab about 1 1/2" - 2" and keep it looking stock. It would give you the space needed under there to run in-dash A/C vents along with the other stuff (CD deck, fusebox, etc.) but that would be another project and I just wanted it done...

Chuck,
Thanks for the new bracket, I'll try and figure it out while changing my timing chain cover that sprung a leak...

Look closely at the pictures that I posted and you will see where I modified one of the pressure hose tube with the port by clocking it downward and TIG welded it back in place. This port was hitting one of my hood braces.

Don't know about that island but hold the pulley with your left hand. Hold the impact wrench with your right hand. Place the socket on the nut and hit the trigger. Pulley will be ready to come off before you can ouch. It will just slide off.

I would recommend Mad's shop as the best place on the island or an alternator rebuild shop if he was out fishing.

Looks like Vintage Air has fixed the problem with the heater box in the way of an in-dash CD player. Mine wouldn't fit so I mounted the CD player overhead.
Also, the ducting will fit with a lot of patience. It's just that dash space is really at a premium in these things!
Vintage air did not fix the evaporator, it's mine. Also full size glove box.

Chuck,
I have a question, I only noticed the difference when there was another unit to compare it to... We got mick's vents all hooked up and tested it out. His fans seems to be blowing alot stronger than the unit I got.. I know there is low-medium-high and my highest setting is blowing like his medium setting so it got me thinking if there is something wrong with my connections or ground,
Would it be a factor in the fans speed?
Any thoughts?

We have not changed anything so sounds like something is up with yours. Check to be sure you have good grounds and full volts to the motor. Also maybe something is restricting the intake? Do you have more vents? Maybe one of the hoses came off?

I am very interested in getting one of these AC units. In fact I called them yesterday, but she never called back like she said she would. But I do have a question. It was asked earlier in the post, I think.
Can the duct work be hidden. I would rather go without AC than to have it hanging down. That just looks bad and unprofessional.

I've been looking at the vintage kit and thought I read that the compressors mounted on the drivers side of the motor. Purchased my York to mount on its side on the passenger side. Is there an option with the kits as to what side the compressor mounts?

The BC set up mounts the compressor on the driver side. The Vintage air and Toms air systems mount the compressor on the passenger side.
