All Full Width Broncos...header Q's

I have searched, asked, and borrowed looking for a set of headers to work with my full width build.I have long tude headers now, but they get in the way with the HPD44. With the axle at full droop, I cant connect the front drive shaft. Worse yet, the axle isn't even centered yet...still need to install track bar/mount.

What did you guys do? I know I can buy WH's shortys, but @ almost $400:eek: , thats gonna hurt. I've heard that mustang shortys work, but cant find anyone to confirm this...and if so-cant get the name or stock number of that style header.

I wouldn't mind manifolds as long as it was something better than the stockers. Like maybe a high flow stock mustang of a certain year. I just dont want the axle to come up and hit anything or droop and kill the drive shaft. I think most of the info in my sig. should help with any Q's you have for me. Thanks,Chuck

I tried the Mustang headers and the drivers side collector dumped right into the middle of my manual clutch lever that's mounted to the top of the frame. So I bit the bullet and bought the WH shorties and they work great! But you're correct about the price.

Have you tried to look into the Sandersons?

I haven't tried these FF4 Sandersons but there are cheaper than WH shorties and worth it to check them out...

I got their FC3 ceramic coated header for my custom build 393 Clevor..

Here is a pic of the FF4, maybe someone here has them on there rig.. Please chime in...
Try and call sandersons to ask......

I guarantee our headers will fit with your setup they are not cheep but they will fit. We now have a test set of headers that are not coated so you can try them out and not worry about scratching them just bolt them on and check out how they fit.

Late model headers

The engine I bought came with a set of late model bronco shorty headers. The passenger side header's collector is pointed directly at the frame so I had to modify it to point it back some. The driver side one looks as if its going to work out fine.

wow, I cant believe thats it. with all the options out there for ford v8's..you would think another car or truck had something that just worked great.
