I'm fairly sure that I need an angle bracket for my Hydroboost setup due to clearances etc., but any opinions are appreciated. Thanks.

Mine was close also, I ended up moving the attachment pin on the brake peddal to the other (outboard) side, that gave me about an inch extra. had to make a mounting bracket.

More body lift???

Here's a link to a post with some pics of my setup. 351 with Ford stock 5.0 valve covers. GT40 lower/Explorer upper. This is with a 2" body lift.

The one pic shows the clearance between the valve cover, upper intake and hydroboost unit. To get thehydroboost to fit I had to turn it 90°, so you can see the adapter I made to go between the booster and master cylinder.

I'm not so worried about the intake (it's a Edelbrock Victor JR. EFI). More concerned with the valve covers. I already have the WH 1" body lift which is really more like 1.5 and don't want to go much higher.

It's a shame you've got the engine compartment all bed-lined (looks great BTW!) if you have to move the hydroboost location to another part of the firewall. From your pictures, it doesn't look as if an angle bracket will fit. A pic, like mine, looking straight down the valve cover, or a pic with a straight edge along the top of the valve cover extending to the firewall, might help.

Another consideration is, although I have to pull my upper intake (6 bolts) I can get the valve cover off with the hydroboost in place.

use the angled bracket- i did, why cut up the fire Wall and modify the pedal linkage if u dont have to. u will have to mod or buy the pre mod bell crank for the bracket. they r on ebay for under $50. But its as easy as cutting off one of the tabs and re welding in the correct spot. The booster mounts right up and its out of the way of the valve covers and plugs.

Ah ok, that's the same one that comes with the kit looks like.

No, I don't have any stock brackets.

You can easily use the stock booster angle bracket, I dropped dime and went with the WH kit for efi/351 which has an angle bracket included, much more compact and only angles it about half as much as oem booster bracket.
