I'll pay for a copy of that pic.

Sounds like a bit of a challenge for next year.;)

It's all in fun, you know I have no malice in me. besides, 205 is just about double 110. I am willing to trade a very nice picture of ME and DON MOSS standing in front of your racer and a autographed photo of Sal Fish BTW around a hundred miles we were towing and eight truck and still could have passed you like you were standing still.Still

uhuumm..uhumm...it was 215.5 miles if you don't mind! ;D

I'll trade you my personal note of congratulations from Don, for that pic of you and he in front of the racer!

by the way..I was going through some pics and found this one where you were introducing us to Bob during that little pre-run. Uh, could you BE any less interested in photo ops! ;D

You're a hoot, Chuck - and a good friend. Thanks for what you've done for us and what you do for the EB community.

I'll take this time to pimp one of our best sponsors, BC Broncos. We are running Beard Seats, the 3G - 160 amp alternator w/BC bracket, Q-Jet carb, racer mounted 10 lb powertank, DUI HEI distributor ALL provided at significant discounts by BC Broncos. And all worked flawlessly. We also had the BC Broncos F-150 PS Gearbox WITH Re-inforcement kit, but were stupid and used something else. We might have finished had we used his stuff.

I know we all have our places that we like to buy from and I'm not trying to dis anyone else, but I will STRONGLY encourage you each to consider BC Broncos for your next purchase. If you don't see it on their website, pick up the phone and give them a buzz. The BC Broncos team really cares about their customers, and the products they sell. Besides that, they're just good people.

OK -- nuff of that -- this whole "I was towing an 8 and still could have passed you" stuff is definitely not going unchecked. Hope to see ya in Vegas! And you better bring Jason, because I think you're getting dillusional. ;D ;D

Bwa ha ha ha..I just had one of those screwy 'visions' my deviant mind always seems to come up with. Team Trick Trucks goes to Baja with "Nails II". Me, you, Matt, ChrisinWV, Mr. Joe, Terry...oh, Mark too now..they'll think we arrived on scene from another planet! Bunch of old decrepit guys, and a redneck hippy amongst them..ha ha ha ha... *tears*
Hey I resemble one of those remarks..... ;D ;D ;D
You been reading my mind???
Funny I have held off reading the rest of this thread, but have pmed with Chuck about it. This has ALWAYS been my Dream since PJ when I was a kid.
I think AJ ran that one year too....
You know I will be there.
My bag-o-spaghetti should cook REAL fast in a racer shouldn't it????
I am good for a chase or race driver.
Gotta have some youth behind the wheel somewhere.
Perfect plan for nails, Motor coming back out of the boat???

Congrats Scott and Endeavor and Chuck and OHR!
You guys make us all proud.
It is so much more than a truck!!!
Chris or Chreeeees as I will likely be called soon....
LOL

Chuck, Scott, Sorry we couldn't get you guys further down the line. Although I don't believe we could have done much for Chuck and Rox without a shock and a bit more time. Scott we could have done something for you with a few extra bolts (make a note for crew/chase inventory) had we been so stocked and hadn't lost so much time looking for Chuck. We/I would have been closer when you broke. Seems like spread thin is the norm for pit crews down there. By the way chuck, if your upgrading to coilovers I know a socal budget MDR racer the could us a pair of baja proven springs if yer just tossing them! Racing note: I met a local guy just reciently here, that appears to be Walker Evans's old crew chief and pretty good racer himself but retired due to cancer that he seems to have licked. Says he'll help me any way he can. So with luck and help I'll give this a try this coming year. Baja, I'll leave to you and scott, just the logistics alone are frightful! But I had a great time chasing for you guys and hope to see you guys race some other races this coming year. George

Hi George, you are welcome to the coils if they are still good. Same coils we ran 4 years. The pass. side one was holding the whole front up but I think they are still good. Too bad about the mix up that left you with none of the 3 boxes I brought down as I had new steering box bolts in each. But Scotts steering problems prove how important the tubes inside the frame are. The heads of the bolts sucked partly through the 1/4" plate welded to the inside of the frame. My frame only has the 3/16" plate on the outside of the frame and the tubes inside the frame and no plate on the inside the frame.

Well thanks Chuck! Let me know how much shipping is from where you are to riverside and I 'll send you a check. My luck must be getting better I also got given a set of F150 class 8 leafs never used, they are longer and way more arc. Seems like I may have to mount them above the frame or below the axel or both. I have the frame modeld in Soild Works so I can fart around with it. I guess as far as Scotts frame goes, some things a Jeep builder just don't know about, that Broncos guys know first thing. That has to be one of the first things I modified when I got mine as I'm sure it was for you. The rest seemed to be done real well although the young builder seemed to be wound a little tight... Hope you guys didn't get too cold, that fire was getting a little weak when I left to help Scott.

George

Vegas to Reno? I thought you were going to try and run the 500 and 1000 each year?

I hate to say it, but for SCORE next year we are going to be running a Class 3against all you guys most likely. The Titan is getting some, and by some I mean a lot, of upgrades but will be racing locally in CA the next season.

Either way I will definitely look forward to meeting all you guys as soon as were at the same race.

That was the original plan, but we've decided to just do the 1000. We're chasing fun not SCORE points, and a race that starts in Vegas and ends in Reno sounds Fun to Us!

Glad to see you doing Class 3 -- the more the merrier! What are you going to be racing?

Vegas to Reno is a fun race. You'll be back with us in the slower ranks :). Look forward to seeing you out there next year, Scott.
