Several things don't smell right. It's supposed to be a '77, well that picture of the engine bay is missing a vacuum booster (standard equipment on a '77.) "Complete body restoration" it should say, "except under the hood." "Smears in the paint that are just a reflection", yea right! That's called a bad wet sand and buff job and where's the front gas door? If this is a Texas truck what is with the New York plate?

It seems there are a lot of people misrepresenting vehicles that are for sale these days.

I am pretty sure power brakes were an option and so probably the aux tank was also. I do agree the engine compartment hasn't been restored, it's orange. I would definately want to see the truck in person before I bid on it. But it's still a nice bronco. I wonder what his reserve is.

because it's cheaper to buy from NY and ship to TX, slap a paint job on it and clean it up a little and try to get a premium price for it.

actually power brakes were still optional in 77 the discs were standard and not all 77's had 2 tanks so the front gas door may not be there for a reason.
but you mat be right on the texas truck thing.

If the undercarriage is refurbed; why not take pics and post them too??? Th paint looks great, but why bother with such a junky engine compartment. I wouldnt call it a body restoration, I would call it a pint job. Might be worth looking at though.

Looks like it was the 65th truck built in June. It has PS but no cooler, a 77 only thing. Power disc was an option. All the 77's I have seen had had the front door, but it wouldn't open. I have had others tell me they have seen 77's w/ only the rear door, may be an early/late thing. The markers are turned for the a 77.

I've seen this one for sale before. Around the time I bought the one I have now, I saw that one for sale on collector car trader. It was partially completed, as in the ebay listing. It also WAS from NY, up near 2bad if I remember correctly. I'm not sure how much exactly the were asking, but it was in the neigborhood of $2000. I actually thought about buuying this on at the time.

I know that Bronco! I talked personal to the guy that had the work done on it. I was rough when I first seen it. Orange and white. Rotted rockers, inner fenders, under hood was a mess.several issues. Yes its a 77. Heres the deal....The guy that owned it was bartering a deal with the body shop (Magic by Curtis) body work for a heating unit installed....Well the shop was taking forever to finish the work. Would do it on the side dealing on paying customers. The thing sat in the shop for well over a year or more. Well the fella got pissed and it seemed the the deal went sour and he pulled it out before it was really finished and sold it to invest in a pizza shop in lafayette ny, down the road from me. He asked me a couple times if I wanted to buy it for $7 large, but I declined. %)

I love the color of it. You would think that if they went thru all that trouble to make it look good that they would have finished the engine compartment.

typical misleading descriptions

It appears that every early Bronco and classic car on the internet sites has been restored. I am a newbie to broncos but have refurbished serveral cars mostly early mustangs and falcons. I have traveled as much as 18 hrs one way only to come back with a empty trailer. The Bronco that I purchased was certainly not as described. That involved a 12 hour trip one way and I wasn't as disappointed as I had been with others. You reach the point that after such a trip you have to buy. I have to believe that some of the sellers believe that rust is a structural part of the Bronco and thinking that the bronco has to be in excellent shape. I received a "second chance offer" on one EB that I was the 2nd high bidder. I agreed to the price and made the offer to come pick it up that afternoon with cash in hand. The seller couldn't make the arrangements. Okay, I'll pick it up tomorrow. The next morning I was informed that the Bronco was sold the previous afternoon. How do you agree to sell in the morning and sell it to someone else that afternoon? The biggest benefit of owning a Bronco at this point is that I don't have to deal with the people only trying to turn a quick buck. Now,I have to say that I have really enjoyed reading the threads and seeing the interest in the early Bronco. Mine is a 76 with power steering, power disc brakes, and automatic. I saw the pictures of the uwharrie? trip and would like to join once I have made the bronco presentable and road worthy. I believe it is the people in this forum that will keep the interest alive.

Thanks,
Rfh11
