Airport sells Flowmasters and a couple other brands, A friend of mine just got dual 40 series done for around $400. I got my 2 into 1 with a 50 series Flowmaster for $350

I am reading this post a little late but... I got my exhaust done by a place called Mathewsons Automoive in Renton. It was NOT CHEAP :'(, it was over $300 for just pipe and work, but it was a work of art, I told them I wanted it tight and contoured to the T-case, frame, etc, and it was. I can send pics if you want. Like I said great work, quick turn around but spendy. Just my experience.

Well went down there today and was told I cannot put duals on my 77 and that it has to have a cat so the quote was 470+tax for a dual into one to the cat and out with a flowmaster 2 chamber. That is a insane amount of money!!!!!!! They are out of the running! Everyone else can do duals hell I have 3 quotes.

what pissed me off was that a friend from work (lives in snohomish) has a 81 dodge that he built up and they installed a dual setup on it without cats!!!!

Can't be many exhaust shops in Arlington, the place I went was Arilington Muffler and Brake(Real original, eh?)

I got the same kind of reaction from the middle of the road chain muffler shops regarding my 77. they would only take it back to original, with the cat. pissed me off. I found a race shop here at the Empire industrial Park in South Everett, and he was willing to do a stainless single w/out cat for 350.00. I screwed up and didn't jump on it, and he went out of business. I felt like a real dumbass. Back to square one.

I was thinking about taking the plates off, putting it on a trailer, and telling them that it would only be used offroad. Probably wouldn't do it anyway.

Ain't this a bitch. If you find a solution, post it here, OK? I'll do the same.

finally got a deal. Duals from the headers back (i installed and drove to the shop DAMN that was loud) turbo mufflers and a balance tube (H-pipe). Both exiting out behind the rear tires. About 350 tax included!
