Well, almost. I'm going to pick it up this weekend.

I found a '70 Sport that's in pretty good shape. The good news is that the engine is less than 2 years old, and it already has a D44 front axle and 4.11 gears. The body is solid, except the bottom of the tailgate and the lower corners of the rear quarters need attention. It's still got the 3 speed manual tranny, manual drum brakes, and manual steering.

I've been lurking here for a while, gathering as much info as I could about EBs. I've always been a Ford man, and have had mainly Mustangs and F150s in my stable. I've always liked Broncos, but never had a good reason to buy one. There's a group of guys at work that I've been hanging out with that are big into off-roading, and I figured this was the perfect opportunity, err excuse;D, to find a Bronco to play with.

Anyway, thanks for all the help you guys have already, unwittingly offered. This site is a great source of information. Oh yeah, and thanks to all of you, my wish list is already 2 pages long!!! Lots to do before a trip to Moab in June.

I pick it up this coming weekend, so I'll get some pics of it shortly after. It's somewhat of an ugly duckling right now. At some point in it's life someone decided to cover the original metalic blue with olive drab green. Some day that will change.

The first project is to repair the rust spots, and suppress any more from growing. Thanks to MnkyBiz, I've already got some Rustbullet on the way. I'm planning on lift the body off the frame enough to clean the frame up and coat it with RB, then hit the body panel repairs and hit the high rust risk areas.
