One of my favorite places to go is DisneyLand. I have held annual passes many times. But I live in Arizona and don't get to go as often as I want to.
But I love the old fire trucks and cars they have on main st. I always try to talk to the drivers about engines in the cars. Just out of curiosity.

But my big goal when my Rig is back on the road, is to take it to DisneyLand and park it prominently in the parking lot so people can see it and enjoy it as they walk into the park. No I am not building a restored bronco. But, it will be a full hardtop and interior with rock crawling abilities. A little bit of something for everyone.

Do any of you take your broncos to DisneyLand as a group? I think it would be aswesome to do it. I like to take a small grill and cook on the tailgate and make conversation with people. I always get compliments for not paying 30 bucks for a hamburger in the park. hahahah

Let's do this.

A Mickey run!:D

Hey Joker, it's not exactly what you're talking about, but Fabulous Fords Forever goes annually at Knotts Berry Farm.

I was there. It was cool. I was hoping to meet more members there. But only met a couple. I took some buddies. We ate at the IHOP and then walked over.

WAAAAY more mustangs than anything else there. Small section of Broncos. But still a decent showing.

But Knotts is no fun to me. Disney is awesome. I don't want to do a show. I just want to meet up and have fun.

I have an anual pass. I've never noticed classic cars there? I dont take the broncos being topless. Most often I drive my 72 suburban and park down in the handicap section of the structure. I usually go to downtown disney and eat. It's still about the same price but not $15 for crap sitting under a heat lamp for 2 hours.

Mines only been there once, and that was 20+ years ago.

But, on the grizzly rapids ride I noticed the FJ was gone and now a willys pickup is there.

Thats cause fj's suck in water. My buddys neighbor had one. He took in the same water crossing I tried in my 72. Niether made it. We drug my 72 out and it ran all day. When he did it every bit of electronics took a sh*t and it took him tons of time and $$ for it to work again

My eb went there a lot from March of '09 to January of '14.

During the construction of the new Fantasyland, Storybook Circus, Belles Ballroom, the Seven Dwarf Mine Train Roller Coaster, Mermaid, Dumbo, and Lion King Theater move.

I live really close so it was fun to take the eb....

Wait.....I'm talking about Disney "World" not "Land".

Haha...

But sorry about your back Joker...

Once I buy my 77 from my dads friend this summer id for sure take it to Disneyland. Knotts sucks 364 days of the year. The only day worth going is for the fabulous fords forever meet.lol And Disneyland is great, but Club 33 at Disneyland is even better ;)

Well, not to put a damper on your idea, but...

The way the parking works is that everyone's marshaled into a huge parking structure and led up to whatever level they're currently filling by attendants and hundreds of orange cones. Once there, you're led into a spot as they fill the levels row-by-row and space-by-space. In all likelihood, your Bronco will end up sandwiched between two rented minivans, smack in the middle of a row, and smack in the middle of the level.

Yes, it would be great if you could "get there early and park in a primo spot" but it doesn't work that way. Given the volume of cars arriving to the park on any given day - particularly on weekends - letting everyone just roll in there and try to decide where they want to park would really slow down the process. (Think of the chaos at a major shopping mall the Saturday afternoon before Christmas, then multiply by at least 20.) Doing it the way they do it gets cars parked at the most rapid rate possible, which gets everyone into the park quicker, avoids traffic backups on nearby streets, etc.

What you might consider as an alternative is to book a room at one of the motels that are located on Katella or Harbor, and arrange with the manager to save you a spot out in the front along the sidewalk. Then you'd have your Bronco out where lots and lots of people can see it. (There's a huge amount of foot traffic on any given day as people staying overnight walk from their lodging to the park entrance.)

I keep forgetting the parking in the structure. I have gotten spoiled.
I have usually taken my Dodge mega cab 4x4 or my motorcycle.
In both cases I park out in front with the buses by the tram entrance and don't even use the parking structure.
Well, we do go up there for fireworks because it is so much better from the top. Plus we are usually alone and not smooshed on main st.

I'm also spoiled on the parking. Now that I sport a handicap placard I get the prime parking near the tram.

Since I injured my back I go there for exercise. It beats doing laps in my neighborhood. I usually go in the morning and walk for a bit, eat lunch and head home.

I can see it now, you're gimping around with a damn turkey leg in your hands gnawing away like a yard dog.
