Pretty much. Most often I end up at cali adventure. It's less crowded. Then I hobble over to CityWalk for lunch. Costs the same as eating in the park but hasn't been sitting under a heat lamp for 2 hours. I had the same reaction as you when I would see perfectly healthy looking people using placards til it happened to me. My doctor says he's got about 10 people who do the same thing for exercise

Well, not to put a damper on your idea, but...

The way the parking works is that everyone's marshaled into a huge parking structure and led up to whatever level they're currently filling by attendants and hundreds of orange cones. Once there, you're led into a spot as they fill the levels row-by-row and space-by-space. In all likelihood, your Bronco will end up sandwiched between two rented minivans, smack in the middle of a row, and smack in the middle of the level.

Yes, it would be great if you could "get there early and park in a primo spot" but it doesn't work that way. Given the volume of cars arriving to the park on any given day - particularly on weekends - letting everyone just roll in there and try to decide where they want to park would really slow down the process. (Think of the chaos at a major shopping mall the Saturday afternoon before Christmas, then multiply by at least 20.) Doing it the way they do it gets cars parked at the most rapid rate possible, which gets everyone into the park quicker, avoids traffic backups on nearby streets, etc.

What you might consider as an alternative is to book a room at one of the motels that are located on Katella or Harbor, and arrange with the manager to save you a spot out in the front along the sidewalk. Then you'd have your Bronco out where lots and lots of people can see it. (There's a huge amount of foot traffic on any given day as people staying overnight walk from their lodging to the park entrance.)
My wife and I have had passes for the past 5 years, (not club 33) and have never once parked in the structure or offsite..... if I told you how, it'd ruin it for us

I have two uncles and an ex girlfriend who work there. I could easily park over in the employee lot. But that is a long walk for a civilian back to the entrance. I duppose one could park at downtown disney.
Then get on the monorail.
But if u have an inside hookup, keep it to yourself. No use in ruining a good thing.

People ruined the handicap access to the rides too.

Downtown is always a good option too if you're not there all day. Short walk to entrance, stop and have a decent dinner on the way out in DT and your parking is validated.

Just reading the small print. You know how they don't always enforce the rules....but it is in writing.

Parking is no longer included in an annual pass. If you let your pass expire you won't get it back when you renew.

Don't call BS until you go read the fineprint on the website.

I went Wednesday and parking was, still screwed up. When i bought my pass you had to buy the premium to get parking. Now it's not included? My pass is up in August. If it don't come with parking I'll step down to a cheaper one since I only go during the week when the kid is at school.

Like I said, they don't always enforce the fineprint. But yeah, that is what it says.
That is a tough call for those of us who go often. I mean, 5 trips and it's another hundred bucks. My pass is already about 800bucks a year.

It says that if you have parking now, and renew on time, you keep it. If you let your pass lapse, you lose parking and can't buy it later. so just stay up to date.

Only occassionally during peak season does Disney (World) run out of parking.
But they can always send them to the resorts for parking which is better anyway as it is a real short walk to the mono-rail at the resorts.
I always come in the back way and park at the Grand Floridian near the Wedding Chapel.
In five minutes you have walked through the Grand Floridian and are getting on a mono-rail.

Hey joker what day u going this week? I may be able to roll out there depending on my daughter and my back. If she has something to do I might be able to sneak out for a few hours.

Seeing you ride your bike back to AZ with a transfer case and adapter under your arm must be a sight to see. Kinda like me gimping around Disney with a turkey leg. And I doubt it will fit in one if their lockers at the mouse.
