I'm running BC Broncos cable kit. I could never get the stock linkage adjusted to my liking after I installed my body lift. The cable made the throttle a lot more responsive and cleared a lot of crap out of the engine compartment.
I'm running a cable out of an '86 E-150. Had to fab my own bracket. Since I did this I saw a Lokar set up and found out it cost barely more than I spent. I'd vote for Lokar now.

I've had the BC cable in mine for a year or two with a retrofit TBI. Works really well and has smooth throttle. It was easy to install and complimented the throttle body well for a cleaner conversion.
