Looks like I will have to look into getting one, especially with the 200 rebate and free spool gun! I was originally looking at the 212 but I think the 211 will do everything I need.

Not sure if you have looked at cyberweld but they have the best price on the 211 right now that I could find.

I bought mine from ebay from whoever had the lowest price and free shipping. It ended up being less than cyberweld, and Miller accepted the receipt for the rebate.

I have a slightly smaller 180. It has done everything steel. I have only hit the thermal overload a couple of times, and I was running it stupid hard to so that (welding quarter inch plate to a scraper blade). The compact size is great for home use.

I love my Miller 211... It makes a novice welder like me have beautiful strong welds!
x2 !!! ;D
Those who own an auto set miller do you like/use this feature, or do you run primarily in manual mode?
Full-auto. I don't know enough to read my own welds & adjust it, and I already get great welds in auto.
The rebate and spool gun are the reason I think I will pull the trigger on it.
Before you do that, check eBay. I got mine with the SpoolMate for ~$300 less than Miller or anyone else was offering.

Everyone's first project: a cart.

But I quickly got sick of giving it the ol' reacharound, so I moved the power switch to the front panel.

And finding a wrench to change spools got old really fast.

I still don't have a good helmet, but the cheapo I've got does OK for the little welding I do. I really like Hobart's 770440 gloves, though.

I have the 211 and love it. Best price I found was an eBay seller even after millers rebates

Ebay is where I got mine. Even came with a cart. But your first project should be building a new cart for your future plasma cutter

I did some really light welding w/ my Miller 211, on the auto seting when rebuilding my top...

And here are some raduis arm brackets I welded to the frame, auto setting- Miller 211..

Used my little Miller 211 for welding this mount on the rear diff housing

New spring perchs. This welder is easy to use! It makes a decent welder, good...and a good welder excellent...so easy to use for light or heavy material
