I just wanna see what it looks like in the cab. I am possibly putting in twin sticks before I go AOD and I wanna see if I should just wait to put in the twin stick until after the AOD or if I can put it in before without a lot of hacking.
Are you done with your wife's daily driver yet?

Bill, I would like to see pix of your column shifter linkage and in cab pix too. Any underneath would be nice too. I am thinking of selling the 4r70w I bought and just doing a performance AOD and maybe the ZF adapter to dana 20, not sure if I need 4wd or 2wd AOD to work with ZF adapter.

I will get a pic taken today. I also went and bent the wild horses twin sticks to get the feel that I wanted.

My wifes daily driver is sitting in the garage, I have the body supported to drop the frame out from under it and weld away.

Things have slowed down a whole lot, money, time and desire. Not a lot of motivation to put another guzzler on the road.

Plus there is the whole while you are there issues and the frame off delays.

I have gone back and forth on engine compartment color, body color or satin black. Since I have not chosen a body color I have decided on the satin or semi gloss black for the engine compartment. Then there is the whole underside of the body color, guess it will be black as well. It is not like you will see any of the under body stuff on this one anyway.

So I will get a pic of the twin stick today and post it. The whole is all the way back to the down angle on the tunnel.

Here are the pics of the twin stick aod combo in my mess. Pics like this, I realize I need to do a whole lot more work on mine.

Here are the pics of the stock column to aod that I did. I am able to use the stock column and hit all of the shift points.

The attachment at the column is the same as the other points. I left the bushing. Just ran a bolt through them both. No pic as I can not see it with the booster.

It works and is adjustable so if the shift points are off I can loosen the jam nuts and adjust them.

Thanks Bill. I am sure I will have a question or 2 for you as well.

Rick I am in Oceanside, perhaps we can share info when it comes time to do this swap.

mine is stock mustang at both ends, throttle body and transmission. Get the brass bushing at the throttle body end with some form of clip. The stock rubber one dries out, then the cable falls out burning up the transmission.

bill -
did you have to lengthen the twin stick linkage when you put in the aod? I have twin sticks available to me and would really like to put them in an alleviate the very sloppy transfer case shifter I currently have. However I'm worried that modifying the linakge would be a bit gnarly and require more center cutting....
btw - pics of my floors coming and they are really rough :(
