Just went though all the stuff, found some brakets and parts that always come up at the last minute. Not going to put the console in untill I have the tranny in and see where exactly it fits the best.

Tried to start the truck today after adding some dry gas. I got it running but like crap. I disconnected the fuel line and cranked it for a little and got the last of the fuel out and most of it was water. I was going to put some new gas in and run it but with fuel shortage I didn't bother. I added some sea foam and hope to add a gallon run it and then tear part the carb tomorrow. :p

slow progress here.....%) took the carb apart and it was a mess inside, soo much aluminum corrosion from the water sitting in the carb. Put it back together and hope to throw it back on first thing in the am and see how it runs. I might have to do it one more time.

Put the carb in and the new fuel pressure regulator and fired it up. I still have that dead spot so Im going to swap out the metering rod spring for the next down and see if that elimanates the dead spot. It runs soo much leaner now that I am putting 4.5 lbs of fuel pressure instead of 7.5, something I should have addressed a long time ago.

Spent about two hours with different combinations of metering rods and springs and went from a really bad dead spot to a almost no dead spot but its slightly still there. Im going to pull it off tomorrow and try one more step up jet and also make sure that I swapped the jets in the primary and not that it was a secondary... I want to get this right and put the hardtop on and take it for a rip out to montauk with the GF on sun after work!!!!
