Gotta ask - why the swap back to 37's? seemed the 40" Crawlers fit pretty nice. Too much fender rub? Or was it purely based on the tire you wanted?

Keeping my eyes on this one, a 4-link would be pretty outstanding.

The competiton trepadors are a true 37" tall tire.. My creepy crawlers were a 38.5" tall even though they were 40's. The 40" comp trepadors would be too big and require ALOT of modifications to get them to fit. So 1.5" down isnt that big of a deal especially when you go from a good bias ply to stickies. But thats my opinion. So I guess you could say tire I wanted.

Here's the work progress from today.. ORI's are mounted. Everything is buttoned up and ready for the exhaust shop tomorrow morning. Gordon is towing it on his one horse hauler that he makes. Talk about cutting down on the drag from our very aerodynamic rigs.. Going with magnaflow mufflers and Gordon put them in a very cool spot (tucked up out of the way). A couple little things to do and then I will pick it back up Wednesday and be ready for the LEBC Roundup.

The strut hoops are connected together below the body. You can easily see where the pressure washer didnt wash off the dirt from the old setup. Went ahead and got the remote reservoirs just cause ya never know. I doubt that I will use it to their abilities but its easier to do it the first time instead of should have done it.

How close do the tires get when articulated? I have been trying to figure out how I will mount my rear Coilovers and I like the looks of your hoops!!

Nice build BTW!!

The final product.. truss with the links in the first pic. second pic is the new exhaust routing. We had the passenger side exit the driver side and the driver side exit the passenger side to try to keep the tubes equal. Not much room to maneuver the pipes around with how long my drivetrain is with the 4R70W and Atlas 4 speed. Everything is tucked up out of the way. Went with 2 1/4" Magnaflow mufflers.

After getting it home and cleaned up, my son asked to go climb over some rocks so the trailer worked. Climbed it up on top of the fenders to stretch its legs. The ORI has some more to give before the tire is off the ground. I cant wait to get it on the trail at the LEBC Roundup.

Hopefully now the big changes are done and he can learn to really drive it to its potential.

Going from leafs to links with good geometery is unbelievable, its really hard to imagine the difference until you expeirence it. And dependability is a huge change, no more driveshaft issues (unless you use it for a ramp....) ujoints don't fail, no more bent springs and the list goes on.

So Kyle, how's it feel to be one of those "Crazy Guys" that you said you would NEVER be????:p
