I'll walk right by a tarted up, overly modified, shiny painted, over-powered, "look-at-me EB to look at a original paint, period-correct-modded, rusty, survivor. Especially if all the owner did was write big checks.
But maybe that's just me...

I'm sure most of us here are in the same boat.

it seemed THAT was just what ppl went for when this forum started.
The i6 was hounded off, 5, 6 inch lift, recaro or what ever the seats.
Every 1 a tuffy between the seats, shrunk steer wheel...
Correct me if wrong (I;m ol & that was awhile ago

As said - I think as it reaches 'classic car status' it becomes more like the others
(OEM, slight mods, longer ownership. We might not be ENTIRELY there yet).

Let me know what U think~
Is that a good sign? sad one? expected/not?
BaT is not the only place they're pimp'em-up or get outragious prices.

Is it $90 - $150/hr resto fees? (I know auction/net sales has raised them all).

As we get toward 'EV for all' the age of cars on the rd continues to climb.

That one was on ebay recently for a $55k buy-it-now, I think, and got bid to $43k at one point too. The guy should've taken his money and run! Will be curious to see how it does on BaT.

So I get on this one morning, and someone has now asked if the top is removable.....

Who is buying these trucks?

Looks like one of the bidders answered my question with a comment after the auction:

"Would’ve loved driving that rig around wine country; it’s a Chelsea boot on wheels."

I don't know what a Chelsea boot is, but the comment above makes me ill....

lill 'rough tread' on the bottom, all shinny up top!

"Fashion statement" can include ur vehicle, politics ('blk lives matter' poster on the lawn w/out a change of life style), job, home furnishings, hair cut, clothing, etc. Choice, culture, income all go into it. This is a corporate culture (global village, multi-nationals, 1% w/power/$, etc) so there is some choice. Enuff spare wage that the corps come calling w/goods folks might buy rather than 3rd world where there's less choice. One item - take it or leave it (got the $ - buy, no $ - go w/o).

Look on the bright side, all that hipster disposable income is buying these trucks another 50 years of life. If internal combustion engines aren't outlawed.

When my truck is done I'm going to ask 100K for it, may even put it on BAT. These prices are just effing stupid. (IMO)

That guy’s tried to sell that on multiple venues now with no luck. Needs to take what he can get if he’s serious and run with it

or at least straighten out that bent bumper on the grn '73. That paint scheme seems to do well (esp the grn).

Surprised the blue 347 didn't have a higher reserve and sold for $72K. Repro body but still, thats $100K+ at Barrett Jackson
