Been trying to do that for nearly 2 decades lol.
Appreciate the comments on the color, that is such a subjective part of a build. Ironically, I have a Ford brittany blue on the 74' Scout ii I restored and while I didn't want to copy it, I wanted to shoot for a green version. Since the vin showed the original color being Boxwood and parchment, I tried to pay that homage to it.
Honestly, I wasn't a fan of the wheels initially but my brother-in-law pushed me in that direction and eventually I really started to like them.
57baja, absolutely spot on, I did this in about 7 months, + 4mo at the body shop (outsourced the paint). I put in so much time at night/weekends that it was exhausting but at the same time it's my passion and don't feel like it's work. In the end I was able to do well enough to cover the parts and my time so in any car guys book that is a huge win LOL!
In all honesty, the winning bid exceeded my expectation so I feel blessed to have had the result I did. My plan is to do another , some minor changes as I've learned from this one. I'm just doing my job to keep our values up on this platform
