Somebody told me BAT got bought out by a private equity company . Where I live in Arizona they’re buying up a bunch of air-conditioning companies and that’s definitely a rip off for the customer.

BaT was purchased by Hearst Media a few years ago. I don't know if Hearst these days is owned by a private equity firm or not.

So, this “Ranger” bid to 47k without any videos and this pic buried in the gallery:
Is that a crack in the frame?

Sadly, the BAT platform has continued to degrade over time to a point that I will not use it any longer. The dumping ground for dealers and the manipulation of comments has corporate greed taking the platform to a place that real private users are limited in my opinion. It has been happening for a while but it is now to a point where I no longer wish to participate. It is still a place where a lot of transaction are taking place but I question how accurate the results really are.

Paging 904Bronco!
And just when you thought you had at least one forever Bronco. Maybe you should sell the’79 now too. 😉😁

Ah..... No.
The 351M and the 5-spd get me around just fine...
I will say the Godzilla is an attractive modification as far as fit goes, unfortunately the State of Kalifornia doesn't allow it...
Same goes for converting the 351M to Ford EFI...

I've been recognizing this myself too. A good portion of my comments never get posted, not exactly sure why.

I plan to sell a truck on there in a few weeks. I hope I don't regret it.

I submitted to sell a car on there a few years ago. They wanted me to lower my reserve, I declined. They responded well, we don't feel your car will sell. I listed on Ebay instead with the same reserve. It sold for more then my reserve.

I won't ever be using BAT.

BAT is real funny about what they allow for comments.

The reserve situation is the worst part about selling with BaT. I plan to do a no reserve auction this once because I have studied the market and feel confident with the historical results for my case that I will be just fine.

I always sell on BaT with no reserve. My feeling is that if I don't get what I want on BaT, I'm not going to get it anywhere else. Plus, I think NR auctions tend to go higher (maybe a psychological thing).

Fair logic.

I have sold all my vehicles elsewhere and with enough persistence and patience, I always get near my asking price. On three occassions I am confident my sold prices were higher than what a 7 day auction on BaT would provide, where BaT flat out denied me or would not allow a reserve. In those cases I am glad I did not use BaT. I have always had a weird desire to have a vehicle listed on BaT as if its some sort of Honor. Seeing some junk that BaT allows now days has lessened my desires.

Wow, that is an incredible build. Someday I know I will need to replace 351M in mine, probably can't rebuild it again. The Godzilla sounds great and looks like it fits well, but I really enjoy how my 78 drives with the C6/NP203. I doubt I could put a newer engine in while keeping the full-time 4 wheel drive. I definitely like the power steps on the 79, you can't see them when they are retracted. I may have to go that route, my wife needs a sherpa to get into my bronco, she is tiny and I can tell it is getting more difficult for her to climb up into the seat. Thanks for posting the link!

Let's hope the Jay Leno bill gets signed.
