Chuck, Put me down for a Charcoal gray top. Looks great. I have quite a few of your parts (gas tank, rear brakes etc) on my 66. Your stuff is always quality and well thought out.

I have a little time to wait though as I am a little busy over here. My current truck does not need a softop though;D

$1200 for now the end price may go up or down. The sew shop didn't like the price after he made it but agreed to hold the price. I may be able to get them mass produced also and that would drive the price down. But for now I will stick with this guy as long as he doesn't raise the price or lower the quality.

This guy might work out. He called today to let me know that the 2ed top is done. The customer will pick it up tomorrow and put it on his bronco this weekend. He will take pictures and let me know what he thinks. I am finishing the jigs now so we can duplicate tghe top parts. The plan is to make all the top parts interchangeable/replaceable so I have to have a pattern for everything. I hope to take the pattern frame to the sew shop next week.

Glad you lost the glass side windows. Detracted from look and breakage would have been an issue. Ditto on less snap. Boat guys ought to have lots of insight on how to maintain the aesthetic while providing water and wind tight connections/ attachments? If I uncover any ideas I'll forward them. You're effort is not lost to those that have followed this project. Thanks!

To hide the snaps you could have a second flap of material that extends over the first with the snaps. This second flap could even have velcro to help hold it down onto the first. thus covering the snaps. Hope you can visualize this. Just an idea.

The demand is relatively inelastic.
With the market currently lacking a quality soft top supply, and the nature of the generally expensive soft top customer, the demand for the top will not significantly be effected by a slightly higher price.

Have you considered using large zippers like on the Supertops?

I know that snaps and velcro doesn't last too long.. Snaps will rust and velcro doesn't stick after awhile of hard use.
Large hidden zippers will be cool.... I do like them on the supertop but Bestop no longer makes the top in white.
