Anyone know the most complete thread for Explorer 5.0 swap? Scored a complete 2000 Explorer 5.0 Limited with 4WD & 100k miles. Know the basics of what to keep but sure would love to pull everything I need & get this out of the way. I have searched but haven't found any complete write ups. Thanks!

This has a lot of info: http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=150669
He used a distributor and mustang ecu, I would recommend using the coil packs and cam synchronizer. You’ll have to shorten the coil pack bracket for stock hood clearance. The power steering res can also cause issues and will need to be moved down about an inch or so depending on body lift. Search Viperwolf throttle body mod to see how to make your throttle progressive. I’ve got part numbers for hoses that work with the stock radiator as well. If you’re running an external fuel pump, use an e2000 from a late ‘80s, early ‘90s F-150/Bronco. Fox body mustang valve covers are all over eBay and fit well, the 3xplorer oil filler neck is WAY too tall to work without serious mods.

Search and you’ll find a lot of other info scattered. Just did my swap and it’s incredible. Feel free to PM with questions.
