After a month of putting it off, I finally put these Headers in this morning.

It took forever to get the old ones off. These Hedmans slipped right in. I couldn't believe how easy they were to install. Couldn't ask for a better fit.

Just my two cents. There are many opinions about headers.

My Duff's headers are nice. They do barely touch the spark plug boot on the #2 cylinder though.

And my under hood temp is about a zillion degrees :p

if you plan on running full width axles you sould run the shorty headers out of a 5.0 mustang.the long headers will be in the way of the front driveline.just a heads up

I have the Wild Horses shorty headers as well, very easy to install and my exhaust guy commented on how easy it was to connect a system to them.

I have had a set of Hedmans elites on for sometime with no problems. Fit and finish are great.

I'd consider long tube headers with 1 5/8" primaries for a Stroker got to let that thing breathe. I think that BC's are 1 5/8" and I know that Hooker Super comps p/n 9814 are 1 5/8" they are also fenderwell headers that run outside the frame so it doesnt matter what tranny you run. But if you have shock hoops I dont believe they will work.
Long tube headers will make more torque than shorties. Shorties are usually just a tad better than stock manifolds. I would also suggest getting the coated versions of what ever you buy they look nicer and will last a lot longer when coated.

Get the good gaskets (Percy's aluminum). I read what everyone on here said and decided not to use the ones that came with the headers (paper).

If you haven't decided on mufflers yet, here's a thread about some CHEAP FLOWMASTERS. I bought some but haven't put them on yet.

If you don't mind cutting the wheel wells the hookers are really nice. They will limit your shock hoop options, but leave plenty of room around the tranny and t-case.

Will the full length work if I have dual shock hoops on the front ??????

Yep they will work I was previously running the Duffs long tubes with the hoops and they fit fine. I recently switched over to the BC headers

I'm running Thorly full length ceramic coated. They fit fine, no cutting, look and perform great. I highly recommend them. I also recommend the locking bolts.
