Some decent bumpstops can limit your rubbing with larger tires if you don't want to hack it up too much. They tend to make the opposite end of the axle springs stretch downward more when articulating also. At least I know mine works better with bumpstops.

Sitting like this at the moment. Back-half and gaining some lenght when i get around to it. Sorry the pics are so big, don't know how to make them smaller.

I dont know how you guys do such big tires with a little lift and still wheel your trucks? I have a 3.5" lift cut fenders and only 33 x 12.5" tires and I still rub the rear fender flares when I have it really flexed out.

I am the same way. 33" tires and rubbing the flairs isn't much of an issue anymore, I did trim them. But I still rub the front of the rear wheel well. Any larger and it would take tall bumpstops to keep the tires off the tub. But then I loose so much of the flex I have in the back. I just tweeked the front to finally clearly clear the 33's at full stuff. Played with the steering with the front springs removed to find the rest of the clearance issues. I might be able to stick 35's on the front with only a little more trimming, but the rears would be much harder. I refuse to limit uptravel in the rear. Not entirly happy with the limits of the uptravel on the front I currently have.

So what I really want is the ability to stuff more with larger tires with no more lift then I have. Without completely hacking everything on the truck. I guess I will be sticking with 33's for a while.

I always liked rmfreeze's rig. I think he runs 37's with a 2.5" suspension lift, but I'm not sure.

Thanks Chad. I missed this thread until now. Yeah I'm running 4.5" total - 2.5" suspension and 2" body with 37" Iroks. I had to bend over the pinch welds and trim here and there and still get some minor rubbing while flexing. All in all I like it lower.

Cool Thread

He is mine. It has 3" Body and 3.5 suspension. I ran 33"s on it for ever and just kept cutting the fenders. I finally got the gorrilla flares and it covered all the cuts that I had made previously. I mounted the falres all the way to the body line and am planning on running the 40" that are on it in the pictures.

I plan on building some bumpstops and limiting my up travel. Ground clearance is much more important than flex where I usually wheel.

Here is one that is awesome, not sure if it was lifted higher but pretty cool. It is NeverSatisfied's rig.

37" MTR's, 2" body lift, 2.5" old suspension lift, and sawzalled fenders, random hammered clearance spots, and grill narrowed 9".

*There are a few shots in my gallery with 39's but not flexed out. I ran Billings Canyon on 39's and rubbed a bunch of sheet metal.

Here's mine, about 4" of lift and 37" krawlers. (4" springs in the front and my own custom shackle flip in the rear) I'm hoping that once it's got some use that the springs settle another inch or so.

I ran 38x12.50x15 TSL's with stock rear springs, some 3" Superlift coils and a 2" BL. I didn't run bump stops, but should have.

The tires didn't rub the body, they did catch the leading and trailing edges of the wheelwells. I did trim the sheetmetal pretty liberally, I didn't run flares. I've since disassembled it.
