camping in a parking lot just isn't my thing. Just not much fun for the kids. If it was just the wife and I a room would do. It just seems every year they make it less kid friendly.

I will be there so long as they approve me for the time off at work.
I have not been able to go the last few years due to not being to get off work so I hope I get it off this year cuz it is always a blast.
Hope to see you all there.

Just planned a trip out to Ocotillo that same weekend! I'll probably cruise down there in the evening on Friday or Saturday and take a peek at all the Broncos that are better than mine:p . It kinda sucks that I'm going with my friend who has a Heep because I'm pretty sure there not allowed on any of the trail rides, and I don't really want to ditch him since he's the one with the RV;D . Still should be cool to see a bunch of old Broncos out there

I doubt I will have my bronco ready by then so no caravaning out from Oside for me.

Jeeps are always welcome on all runs, the only time they are not allowed is the big group photo. My dad has been on many of the "Bronco" runs with his Jeep and Toyota 4x4.

Sweet!!! I'll let my friend know about it and make some of the runs probably the easy to medium ones since I only have a locker in the front and only 31" tires. I don't know when I'm leaving on Friday Nick I wish I could convoy with you but I don't think I could leave at 4. I'll let you know though. wow I'm sooo excited now!!!

Bronco Daze 2008 is October 17-19 (Fri-Sun) in and around Anza-Borrego State Park, CA. Bronco Central (Headquarters, vendor displays, all activities & lodging) will be at the Palm Canyon Resort , in Borrego Springs! You can 4WD, then enjoy all the luxuries of pools, Jacuzzi, fitness center, restaurant, saloon, nearby gas, stores and more. Bronco Daze is open to all years and models of Ford Broncos, and your other 4WD guests are welcome.

On-line event registration is available here until October 13th (Click on the button on the lower right of this page)! EBR members receive an "on-line only" discount if you have logged in before registering. Your pre-registration package includes: One General raffle ticket, One Bronco Key Chain, One Bronco Daze T-Shirt (if you register before September 22nd.) and One Bronco Daze dash plaque. (You are also welcome to register on-site when you arrive, but availability of shirts, dash plaques, etc. cannot be guaranteed.)

We will have runs on Friday, Friday night, Saturday and Sunday morning. There will be a mix of trails for everyone. Friday morning hard and medium runs will leave starting at 11 AM, the easy run at 3 PM, and an evening run at 6 PM. Saturday runs will begin leaving at 8:45 AM. Hard runs always depart first and easier runs later. Sunday will have a medium run leaving at 9 AM. Everything is over at noon Sunday. We expect every run will have a different staging point, so check-in everyday at Bronco Central for all the details.

Run Communications will primarily be done with FRS (Family Radio Service) radios using Channel 6, Tone 6. If don't already have some, they are easily avaiable and inexpensive. Please be FRS equipped! Run leaders will use long range 2 meter Ham radios. If you are a Ham, you are welcome to join in. CB radios will only be used for backup.

Saturday! A group photo will stage starting at 8 AM. 8:15 we will give instructions for run staging, and the photo will be at 8:30 SHARP! Runs will stage right after the photo. Saturday night a great no-host outdoor BBQ dinner will begin at 5:30 PM (ticket purchase in the vendor area) and our raffle will follow! The dinner price (which was just awesome at the last Bronco Daze) is $15 for adults and $9 for children (14 years and under), including water, sodas or tea. You will pay for dinner Saturday in the vendor area. (When you register, we will ask for your estimate of how many will be eating so the chef will have the right amounts of food available. No obligation, just for planning.)

IMPORTANT!!
For Bronco Daze 2008 lodging, you must reserve directly with the Palm Canyon Resort at 800-242-0044 (from 8 AM -10 PM PST). Give them Group # 191857 and tell them you are with Bronco Daze to get our discount rates on hotel rooms or RV spots (full hookups)!
- Rooms range from $91 to $109.
- RV spots are from $29 to $33 per night depending on back-in or pull-thru and 30 amps or 50 amps. Pull thru sites sell out fast, but trailer storage space is available.
Group Rate rooms and RV spots are limited and will expire on September 17th, so act now!

This is a big improvement, Last year the Leader and Tail gunners where on ham radios, we rarely Knew what was going on unless they remembered to update us on the CB.
Our club has started using these more, less problem with bad radios and mismatched antennas. Not as easy to hear as the CB though.
Looking forward to this now. :)

as am I communication should be much better this year, I only hope that our medium run does not get mashed in with the stock run again! I plan to hit all the mediums day and night as long as the bronco gods permit. ;D

I'm gettin excited. Need to get the radio's charged up and get a place to stay. Had a good time last year even if the trail boss broke before we had a chance to lock in the hubs!
