I put an Apple air tag in my broncos. I didn't used to think much about them getting stolen. But with the interest in broncos I find more and more people looking at it in the parking lots. I mean face it, they are easy to steal if someone wanted it. I really wonder about some of the people I find looking at it. It's the ones that see you getting close and they move away. Not the ones that stay and want to talk. But now I can hand a cop my phone and say it went that away. Please go find it. I am sure there are better ways to do this but I figured what the heck, can't hurt. Yes I did hide the tag.

I just read about these a few days ago and did some research on them. Seems like a good option for our trucks - the only downside that some noted was the delay in updates on location compared to some other options. But the price compared to those options was appealing.

If I had Bax's Broncos I would pony up and get a real time GPS to protect them.

Same here. I hid mine too. Love the peace of mind. Might be a false sense of security but I like the ability to find it.

Don’t make the top secret locations too public.
If anyone comes up with a double secret probation spot like that, mention that you have one and let those interested PM you.
That way it doesn’t instantly go out to the rest of the world as we speak, with no respect to who’s watching.

I have several, work truck (as a pipeline inspector, i stay in hotels 250 to 300 nights of the year), my tractor AND my trailer, my dog, my jeep and even my luggage(It's always a relief to know if my luggage is on the same flight as I am:cool:) And even my Bronco, although it's in pieces. The only times it was invaluable were when the dog took a little wayward romp in the rock quarry behind me and when my luggage was on it's way to Chicago while I was on my way to Jamaica for a "job". The rest of the times it's just good to know evrything is in it's place. Pretty inexpensive, around 25 to 30 bucks apiece and the peace of mind is well worth it. A couple of things to note, I believe they are phone specific, Android for Android, Apple for Apple and they operate from other "like" phones to ping your device to gain it's location. Cities or suburban areas are great, rural areas take a bit longer to ping the device. Hope this helps.

On a similar note, a lady in Missouri just got arrested last week for tracking down and killing the thieves that stole her car. Don't know the whole specifics and there may be more to the story.

That's one jury I ask to sit on.
