The word is good, just got sick nearly two weeks ago, so not much progress since then. The floor has been roughed out along with the interior of the left side. I just received an e-mail from Ford today and they said I do indeed need their approval. If anything throws a damper on this project, that might be it, but we'll see.

That one on eBay looks to be the old CheezeCast (spelling??) model. It is supposed to be a donor kit. Looks to have skewed dimensions, though.

Oh, gee. There hasn't been any progress thanks to an eventful few months. That and I've been scolded to get my real Bronco done %) If I get the time, motivation, and some money to fund the project, I'll get back on it.

The next step would be...awe heck I can't even remember...probably getting the floor mold made, then the hood, grill, and tailgate.

Oh, yeah, and Ford basically told me that if I don't get permission from their marketing department, I could get in trouble. I'd have to send them photos, drawings, the planned final product plans, info about how I'd market it and all that BS. I don't even know if it's worth the hassle anymore.

Sorry, guys. Hopefully I'll get it going soon. It would be cool.

Okay, guys-I hate to do this to you all, but I'm throwing in the towel on this project. It just keeps getting more difficult to work. Destroyed the floor, the molds are coming out a bit dirtier than hoped, and the parts are warping.

I'm glad I did it though. It was a learning experience and I'd do it all over again. Let's all go write Monogram/Revell a letter now :)

Nick,
Would you consider selling your "master"? I have friends who cast for a living that might be willing to buy it or trade future kits for what you have already built.

Sorry to hear about that. Definitely a great effort though!!

Sadly, you probably would've hit a brick wall with Ford anyway on the licensing $$$
