I have been on a road trip. I took dads bronco up to michigan to it's new home. I put the bronco and a 700 grizzly 4 wheeler on the trailer and off we went. Well instead of going straight up we took a "lets go see" roundabout way to michigan. We did not see rock city. We played the lets look for other broncos game. Sad to say we only spotted 2 broncos our entire trip. Up 95 out of FL. , GA. and into SC. I 26 thru SC to NC. to I 40 and into Waynesville Where we stopped and visited some friends. Stayed a few days there. We went rafting down the Nantahala river, had a great time in Waynesville at their memorial day main street block party. Good to see some old fashioned U.S.A. celebration. Leaving town we headed up I 40 to 321 to another friend's place east of Johnson City. TN. This is where we saw the first Bronco. It was parked at Watauga lake. The owner was standing right next to it as we drove past. I honked and waved but got no recognition. We drove away thinking " Not a member". We visited our friends and then struck out on 81 to 77 thru VA. for family in Beckley W.V. (Family is on my wife's side) visited with all / most of them. I think everyone in W.V. smokes. Had some fun and then headed out to make the push to MI. Out of friends this would be a one day ride. 77 to 33 into Ohio. South east ohio is some pretty country. Thats a good thing because the rest of it is just flat farm land. 33 to 270 to 23 to 75 to 475. Thats a lot of farm land. 475 into MI. finally out of Ohio. 475 to 23 to 75 to 33 to 32 to The one blinking light town of Atlanta. We pulled onto the property and opened up the cabin. Only one bronco the entier trip. No gas station talks no parking lot walk up to say " I know a guy that had one of those". Just one guy at a lake in TN. that could not figure out why I was waving at him? So the Bronco is now at it's new home in the woods of Michigan. We made a dump run to the county dump. One guy at the dump wanted to talk bronco's. I talked for all I could stand but you must realize we were standing in the stinkiest spot within a hundred miles of anywhere, not a long conversation. Off to town to get a fishing license and some bait. One guy from the hardware store meet me at the street and talked bronco. His brother bought one on Ebay kept it 5 years and just sold it. yada yada.
I had fun with the truck in the woods. Took many trails and made a few new ones. I got lots of pictures but they are too big to post. We had fun fishing for trout. I think we fished 4 days in a different lake each day. We did go the lake huron and caught 14 walleye. Big fish fry.
Just got back from the drive home. the last bronco sighting was in jacksonville FL headed north on a trailer. It was yellow.
I'M HOME IT'S HOT AND I AM MISSING THAT BRONCO ALREADY.
It has a good home however. It will be kept in a garage and seldom used but it will last for many years to come.
Thats my story and I am sticking to it.
Did anyone see us? pictures coming as soon as I figure out how to get them smaller.
