Hey Everyone,

When it gets cold here in the Midwest I start thinking about our trips to Moab.

I see that Bronco Safari is planned for April 29th through May 2nd. I'm not sure if we'll be able to make it.... but, definitely thinking about it.

Just curious who else is planning to make to make it this year.

Take Care,

Jeff

I am going to go there in 2016 when all of the 50th anniversary celebrations are happening.

2015=50 year anniv. of the '65 Mustang. 2016= 50 year anniv. of the '66 Bronco......all year. Lots of posts there Frank, to mix this up, but then it's early. Haha.

Wife and I are planning on making the trip this year after a 5 or 6 year absents. If the 50th is anything like the 40th it should be a banner year for Bronco outings. One of my three Broncos is a very early '66 so does this mean that I get to start in Sept of 2015?:? Heck, I'm going to start in a week at the annual SoCalBronco Calico run ;D:cool:

That's during the NORRA 1000 (technically after the event, but we'll still be on our way back up the Baja peninsula) so I'll still be in Baja. Bittersweet, cause I miss Moab and haven't been there since 04 during the Jeep safari.

OK ... MY BAD !!

PER Thomas from BD

The 50th will be 2016. Dates for Super Cel are April 12-16 2016.

We are doing a big 49th though in April 16-18 2015 . :)

It's fuzzy math for this type of thing. If you INCLUDE the original model year of '66, then 2015 is actually the 50th anniversary of it's existence. Not adding to, but including the first year.

Depends on how you want to figure it I suppose, but a LOT of people are going to be celebrating in '15.

Subscribed. Going to try and make the trip this year but most likely will not. 2018 is a go for sure though...it will be my daughter's graduation present!

Everything's just better in Moab.
I mean, where else do you go on a parts run and get 30 or so of your closest Bronco-friends to tag along for moral support?;D

This was 2002 and someone had an alternator go wonky that morning. Hmm, now that I think about it, it was the Jeep! The copper EB just had it's hood up to compare notes and show solidarity. And probably jonsin' to use his new welder to make that new alternator stay tight. That sucker was gonna be permanent or bust!

There ya go then. Proof positive that Bronco-friends are just the best. And don't hold your vehicle choice against you (too much) and are ready to loan tools and expertise in a parking lot at 8:30 in the morning at a Napainthemiddleofnowherealmost.

Good times.
