Dont get me wrong I want it to fit I am just concerned about the corners of the intake hitting the firewall . The big 6 intake really sticks out 90 degrees from the motor.

If it hits, its nothing a sawzall wont fix. Stainless is cheap.

LOL Yea, sure it is, I priced it 2 weeks ago, Let's just say I have 2 Bronco's worth of floors.

I understand the concerns Bax, Here is a pic of a 300 in an EB ( PHOTO CREDIT:Bronco Driver) he moved his back 3 inches and it is close, but I also lowered mine. Time will tell I guess, And as I said a few posts back, you have me doubting my measurements. So I held off on the 2 filler pieces.

I priced a piece of 1/2" steel plate the other day about 24"x36" for somewhere around $250.

I WAS going to build a small welding table on top of an old rolling tool box...but that took a seat right next to the 2 dollar prostitute.

Today we set out to get the filler work done, get the rear wheel wells bedlined, the rear quarters cut (yea I said cut) and get the inside of them bedlined, Very do-able as long as UPS delivers my flares from BroncoDesign.

We got the filler done, very little, had to smooth out a wrinkle from the P.O.

IMG00031-20100223-1221Medium.jpg

Then we taped it off and sprayed the liner.

IMG00043-20100223-1810Medium.jpg

Went ahead and bedlined the back of the front door post. I like how the black makes the stainless stand out.

IMG00037-20100223-1640Medium.jpg

While cleaning up from that Big Brown delivered the flares. Opened them up to see what they looked like.

IMG00042-20100223-1810Medium.jpg

Quality is top notch, Fit was good, I did notice they seem to be a little higher than the Old School fiberglass flares, and alot more flex in them. I will say as of now I would use them again, More on them after install.

We then layed out the rear fenders to cut. (Yea I said cut again)

IMG00040-20100223-1709Medium.jpg

Sprayed them with liner.

IMG00045-20100223-1816Medium.jpg

And sprayed the inside of the taillight housings also.

IMG00046-20100223-1817Medium.jpg

And as promised, here you go Bax.

IMG00044-20100223-1813Medium.jpg

A very productive day, Tomorrow we will be installing the quarters, and spraying the remainder of the belly of the tub with Bedliner. More pics then.

Another good day, the Quarters are not on, almost forgot to prime and paint the areas that the quarters will mount to. So we gave it a good once over and sprayed it with a Matrix High Build primer, that will help with some of the pitting.

Once it warms up tomorrow I will be back at it.

To cold today to get much done, did get the rear quarters sanded down and primed in prep for install as soon as we get the areas that will be covered painted. Dang weather.

After Sanding

After Primer
0225201016.jpg

Decided to show this now, the drivers tail light housing was ate up with rust at the bottom.
Day124.jpg

We took some sheetmetal, beat the tar-nation out of it and formed it to fit, added a little filler to smooth it out and here is the same corner primed.
022520101.jpg

Another area we had to deal with was on the same corner, at the seam between the upper bed and taillight housing, not rust, but what appeared to be a tree hit, and a poor repair.
Day139.jpg

A few hours with a body hammer, a little body filler and the completed section.

After block sanding the body should look close to factory, At least they were not perfect from the factory.

Pretty Awesome...Nice Job!

Thanks, it has been a long time coming, I did find my original thread when I bought it and started the build, It has been at my uncles for 3 years, but I started on it in March of 2005, Going to be a 5 year completion date.

Big day today, the belly is now covered in bedliner. Took the day to get everything taped off to eliminate dealing with over-sprayed bedliner.
Then turned her up side down and sprayed inside the upper bed rail, a good heavy coat to be sure the nooks and crannies are covered, then on her side she went and gave her a good coat on her belly.

Tomorrow is a big day, picking up paint in the A.M. and spraying the lip of the rear where the quarter panels will attach, along with the lip on the Quarter Panels.

Finally made a choice on color, been debating it for a long time and decided to go with Matrix Hi Light Blue Pearl. Should set the stainless off nice.
