I had exhaust put on my bronco today and now it wont idle, and wants to die when I let off the throttle. I don't know if that is what caused it. It has a 302 with an edelbrock carb. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

Did this happen the EXACT moment the exhaust was put on?
Have you checked the basics? Carb clean, timing set, no plug wires arcing, etc.?

Changing the exhaust should have no affect on an engine idling. May pop and make different noises. But not enough to change how it actually idles.

Now to clarify another item, will idle fine on it's own? Or is this just an issue when lifting off the throttle? RPMs drop low, wants to die, but if stays running will idle fine? Trying to determine if this is an idle issue or a transitional issue.

The idle mixture adjustment screws are on the front and easy to turn with your fingers. That's how I always do it. After going through emission testing I stop under the first shade I can find and fix the idle. It's a no tool deal with an AFB. Putting on a new exhaust system shouldn't cause a vacuum leak but new headers often require carb adjustments.

Yes, check obvious first.. for whatever reason a vacuum/ignition line may have been knocked off/hit. Regardless, hit the linkage with a shot of carb cleaner and work the throttle a few times. Readjust the idle screw and then go from there. As stated, not a bad idea to give the carb mix screws a readjustment with the full exhaust on it.
