Hey Guys

Is there a complete list of budd body identifiers. I heard few like eyebrow grill etc. But are there others?

I heard only broncos made in 65 Aug, Sep are true full budd body and later year models have mix of parts. Mine is a Feb 66 but I see possibly see some budd body things on it so wanted to see what are unique budd body features.

Also can you clarify more around

- Tail gate "waterfall" design - does it just mean its a 66 or does it mean a budd body (mine has it )
- Shorter fender apron - I am kind of little confused on this because my 66 does have shorter fender apron and same does 74 . Are we saying few inches or is this visible enough for naked eye.
- 4 prong Bronco emblem as opposed to 5 prong? mine has 4 on 66

What else are there?

Just forget all of what you've heard, and start fresh with the link in the post above. Decades of incorrect info, assumptions, rumors and speculation spread like gospel that just wasn't true about Budd bodies, Budd parts, Budd components and what was used from year to year or even transitions into the next model year.

Your tailgate was used through 67' as well. The 4 prong used in 66' until they ran out, the shorter fender aprons was an early August 65' deal for the most part.

Yes, and it’s still being used to hype up sales ads to this day.

All that being said, it still doesn’t take away that 66s are very unique, especially early builds.
