Building a full bronco from scratch.

Hello all, I've been tasked with building a 68 bronco body and was handed a full kit from wild horses. The kit seems to be complete with any and all pieces, I am working off of the original chassis, but the mount points are blown out (rust). I've tried the search option here to look for schematics or any build instructions, but seems as though all the links in the threads in looking through are no longer working and the threads are several years old. Since the body is gone, I have no datum point to really begin with, and I'm searching for not only a good starting point (or best order to proceed from) but hopefully some solid measurements for the quarter panel sets, firewall angles/ distances from other possible data points, etc... any help that you can provide would be immensely appreciated as this is my first introduction to the early bronco. Can provide as many pics as necessary. And can update along the build as well.
Thanks in advance, cheers.

There is a very accurate schematic of what you need, and the person with it will be along shortly. I searched, could not find it

Personally, I'd start fitting any existing assembled parts like doors, windshield frame and hard top if one will be used. Build a bracing jig to hold the doors where they need to be then build the body to fit the doors. Once the cowl is complete, assemble the front to fit the hood.
Here are the body gap specs.

How badly are the mount points "blown out"? There are ways to either repair or replace them, but we need to know what you're working with. Pics would be great. Become a contributor for 12 bucks a year and photos are easy to upload. Otherwise you need to use photo bucket or some other service to add pics. If I were starting to put a complete kit together, after fixing the frame to body mount points I'd start with the two beams that go across between the rocker panels and work outward.

Ah. That explains why i couldn't find a way to upload the pics. When i get home I'll try to do this on my laptop,

Okay, how about a simple start to one I can't find... the hight of the mount points from the ground or a datum point of done kind? So I can make sure I'm starting at a proper point? Body panels seem off from visual inspection right now...

Hi, Sounds like a fun project. PowerNation did a ground up build a few years. This episode provides a great trips for the initial body build
Good luck and enjoy.

Go to this website:

Read the directions Steve83 gives.
(To take measurements, click the image above to make sure you have the largest version, right-click & save to your HDD, open the drawing in MSPaint (or a similar image editor), and use the selection box tool to measure between points. 1 pixel in the original-size drawing is 1/16 inch.)

The right side of drawing has section views with a common datum line to take height dimensions from.
