Man I knida wish it was again today;D

I really wish it was today! I got all screwed up yesterday and getting up late didn't help. Really bummed that I missed it AGAIN! Well there is the Ford Nationals, Gore, etc, etc!!!! Now the truck looks respectable finally!

I also owe Pat $5. He bet on me not going and I didn't let him down. ;D

We all had a blast as always. I would have loved to try the rock pile but with just an open diff in the rear I didn't bother. The Teeter Todder was fun too. It was great to see everyone again. We need to do name tags again tho. %)

I guess the real excitement happed on the way home on Rt 2 about half way between Rt 190 and 495.

Everyone remember Todd hitting his gas tank pretty hard on the rock course?

Well, It fell out on Rt 2! Luckily, Mike was in front of him and saw the strap hanging in his mirror. The bad thing was there was a guard rail for about a mile and we didn't want to be that close to the traffic. Once we cleared the rail we all pulled over. At this point Todd has no idea what’s going on. When he hit the rumble strips on the edge of the road he soon figured it out. They must have been enough to shake the tank loose. So there is the tank sitting on the rumble strips puking gas out the fill hose. Ya, we all had just filled up too. Not sure how much fuel got spilled. Y'all know how a small amount of gas can look really big right? Well we got the tank into the grass and were able to move Todd's Bronco into the grass and with the help of a couple ratchet straps we were able to get the pretty much still full tank back in place, reconnect all the hoses and secure it in place. It took about 45 minutes to fix. I'm glad Mike was traveling with us because he was a huge help and it would have taken longer with just two people.

Just a little ...it was the holes - having them the size of Smart Cars was a bit much. My slight bumper projection didn't help either. %) otherwise, it was fun and very challenging. Lots of things learned and new changes are in the works for the Turd.

Good thing Gore is off my radar, it wouldn't be fixed before then...

Wow, that was not a nice ride home. Sorry I wasn't able to ride home with you guys and thanks Mike for the lift down. We had a very busy weekend, but enjoyed it very much. Thanks again to all those who put in the work.
